So, I went to Philadelphia today to meet Kat Von D from LA INK and it was awesome! Okay, it wasn't all awesome...waiting for 3.5 hours in a hot ass Borders to get her to sign my book. But it was worth it in the end.
After waiting a LONG time to see her, when it was my turn to go up there, just as she was getting ready to sign my book, they brought out her birthday cake! I, one out of hundreds that were there, got to be right in front of her to sing Happy Birthday and watch her blow out her candles!
Then I gave her a painting of a sphinx cat(hairless cat) that I made for her and she absolutely loved it! She even sat it next to her on the table while she finished signing everyone else's books! Needless to say...I was stoked! She and her sister Karoline were amazingly sweet and I'm so glad I got to meet them! Thanks KAT!

Tribal Fusion is just that, a "fusion" of traditional styles of bellydance and other forms of dance such as Indian,
Flamenco, and Gypsy. This class focuses on exploring the basic foundation of bellydance movement and
building on it to incorporate combinations and individual exploration of dance. Fusion is a combination of choreographed
dance and improvisational movement usually focusing on the dancer as an individual. We will also explore the
roots of Tribal Fusion: American Tribal Style, a completely improvisational group dance with a basic vocabulary of
movements and cues. All sizes and shapes are highly encouraged!!! Please wear comfortable yoga-type clothing,
bare feet or dance sandals (if desired) and a top that is close-fitting to more easily see your movements.
Be prepared to sweat and shimmy! This is an open class held on an ongoing basis, so feel free to join at any time!
