My life so far...

about me
I'm a musician, magician, hypnotist, philosopher, dad, business owner and generally eclectic kind of guy. My friend Blake said "renaissance man - or ADD? Oh wait... that's PhD!" I'm into genuine conversations, making or listening to live music, embarking on new adventures of every kind. I spent 10 years entertaining on cruise ships and founded (and later gave away) a two million dollar a year business.

Right now I'm writing original music (just for me), running a thriving new private hypnosis practice, still doing the college hypnosis shows, working on producing a gypsy magic show for theaters and helping a friend create a burlesque troop for new years'.

I believe that we should be grateful for every moment we spend above ground. My kids remind me of that as they find joy in little stuff.

Oh, this is going to be fun...

My friends Slash, Becka and I have been asked to produce a burlesque show for the Sycamore Rouge theater for this New Years' Eve.

Years ago I produced the Virginia Vaudeville Company, but as much fun as that show was... it was notoriously lacking in creative and fun half-naked dancing girls. Viva la difference...

We are now just getting started in the audition process but already it looks like it's going to shape up into a really good show with titilati... read more

My 11 month old child just taught me a powerful lesson in joyfulness that I thought I'd share.

The other day I took my two little boys to the bookstore for a couple hours. Although I get significant visitation time with my older boy, I only get two hours at a shot with my 11 month old until (hopefully) this December - so we tend to go there a lot as it's near my ex's house.

Anyway... Zachary (my 5 year old) played with the trains and the other kids while I took Nathaniel (my 11 month o... read more
