I chose my personal assistant in 1978 while hanging out at Macy's. She's been my slave ever since. I have friends and fans all over the world and why not? I'm a bear of the world and a bear about town. I've traveled extensively and will continue to do so as long as I have the stuffing. I recently discovered the joys of fashion and am now a bit of a clothes horse bear. I have a little friend, Filbert I met on my recent trip to Washington and the South. He's my little buddy, though he does get himself into trouble from time to time. Can't hold his booze! I'm a gin bear, myself and have had myself many a wild night! I'll tell you some of my stories someday! On January 3rd, 2007, after a whirlwind, gin and scotch whiskey soaked courtship, I married a lovely, sweet (and a little salty), lady bear named Ursula. We were married at the Ritz Carlton, San Francisco by Captain Puppet. Sigh.......I am a wordly wise bear and yet I am Ga-Ga in LOVE like a School Boy!!! Sigh.......

I'm not sure how many of you knew, but our dear Pirate Sock Cat was scheduled for limb replacement surgery here in Reno. The foremost puppet limb surgeon was lined up and though he was on vacation for a long time, finally we were ready to proceed....

gilbert is like the coolest bear ever! he has a wardrobe 2 die 4 and he is always at the top of his game! and like wow can he parti! he can drink anyone under the table! plus hes way fuzzi and adorable though sometimes i dont always understand what he says. he uses big words. but like still a good friend! i luv u!

Gilbert is a bear of the world! He has impecable taste in friends (look at his assistant, after all). He has a true poetic sense and a linguistic gift. Therefore, we all overlook his gin binges. Here here for a remarkable bear!

What can I say about such a dashing, debonair, bear-about-town? He's a poet and a scholar. He's had some rough luck, losing his best little buddy, but I admire how he's determined to turn that tragedy into a new destiny: to take the world by storm!
