I need a copy of MS Outlook

   Mon, December 10, 2007 - 6:41 AM
Does anyone have a copy of Outlook I can use. All I want is a calendar that I can sync with my Blackberry and it seem that Outlook is the only one I can do that with. I don't want to buy it because all I want is the calendar. All I want is a freakin calendar. You would think that they would ad one to the desktop software but no they make you buy a $300.00 software bundle to get a lousy calendar. Help me beat this corporate conspiracy of greed by giving me a copy of Outlook or for you super smart tech types maybe you have another way for me to get a calendar that I can use on my computer and my Blackberry.

I went into Windows catalog and typed calendar downloads into the search. There are several there, most of which are free, but I didnt get into it as far as to see if any were outlook...orif they would be compatable with your blackberry. Maybe you could download outlook from the catalog?

The software should have also come on a CD with your Blackberry.

Let me know if you want me to look around for something different... :)

Is this the only software that links with your blackberry? You should also be able to do your calendaring in yahoo, and still link it.... even if you have to buy an inexpensive linking in software... Intellisynk costs like 20 bucks I think.

Ya, I have been down those roads. The desktop only comes with software to sync to Outlook, none of the free downloads seem to work and I can access Yahoo and Google but I can't import them into the calendar on my phone. I need to be able to have something one the computer at home so that when Bethie does our calendar she can put out stuff in it and I can sync it to my phone. Believe me I have spent about 10 hours over 4 days looking for other things that will work. I found a download that said it would sync my Google calendar to my Blackberry but it won't install.

uumm, the only other 2 things I can think of is, I have an old windows xp disk, that has it on it, and twice I have upgraded my xp through the security updates. I try to get rid of outlook, but everytime I upgrade, it resets it back onto my comp..Maybe you could try that? Does this help?

there seems to be an issue with the calendar function of certain blackberry models - there's an official patch from blackberry:

also, have you tried this? you need an additional piece of software in order to sync google calendar with your phone, and this will let you do it:
