Pain Pig: The Art of Giving &amp; Receiving Pain as Pleasure

with Daddy Peter Fiske

Wednesday, May 7, 2008

at SF Citadel, 1277 Mission Street at 9th Street, San Francisco, CA

Doors 7 pm

Program 8 - 10 pm

Cost: $5 members of Janus &amp; reciprocal organizations (e.g. The 15, Exiles); $15 all others

We've seen them -- bottoms who can't seem to get enough, and the tops who love to dish it out to them. They take play up a notch, and searing pain turns into sizzling heat.

Join us this evening as renowned leatherman Daddy Peter Fiske discusses a subject near and dear to his heart -- the art of turning pain into pleasure. Peter will demonstrate how he has incorporated pain in his scenes, using the sadistic skills he is famous for. Those who wish will be given the opportunity to volunteer to experience Peter's skills firsthand. And, if we're lucky, we'll get a chance to see some of his more exotic toys in action.

What makes the difference between a ho-hum scene and a fantastic scene? What are the key ingredients to the construction and execution of a scene that will knock the socks off of both the Top and the bottom? Part skill, part intuition and part experience, a good Top can blend a few basic elements into a scene that is exciting to be a part of and exciting to watch!

In this class we will discuss how to put together a solid scene from start to finish using basic toys and techniques as well as the long lost art of how to read a bottom. We will cover the use of basic toys such as canes, floggers, knives and how they can be used to create an exciting (and safe) scene. We'll talk about what to do if something goes wrong and how you can resolve the situation in a fast, effective and safe way. For people just starting out, or the more experienced Top looking to integrate their skills This class will include live demos and will end with a short Q&amp;A.

Daddy Darin has been involved in the leather lifestyle since October of
1984. He served as a slave until 1987 when he began his master’s
apprenticeship with the House of Das Kreuz Christi. In 1989 he finished
his apprenticeship. He has presented a variety of subjects to groups both locally and at national kink events. Darin throws a mean singletail and is bethie’s sweet loving Daddy as well as an evil sadistic bastard.

A goth couple was banned from boarding a bus in England after the driver told them the bus didn't allow "freaks and dogs like you on," the Daily Mail reported.

Dani Graves, 25, often takes his fiancee, Tasha Maltby, 19, out in public on a leash in Dewsbury, England, the paper reported.

"He shoved me off the bus," said Graves, about the early December incident. "He called us freaks and he called Tasha a dog. He said, 'We don't let freaks and dogs like you on.'"

Click here to read the full report in the Daily Mail.

The couple — clad in black — often takes walks together with Maltby wearing a choke collar and leash around her neck and Graves carrying the leash in his hand, the paper said.

Graves said the couple has been targeted three times by the same bus driver, according to the Daily Mail.

"He doesn't like the fact we wear black clothing," Graves told the paper. "We expect the odd comment, but we don't expect it off a bus driver. I have been a goth most of my life and it's the first time I've come across anything like this. It's crazy."

<div>Does anyone have a copy of Outlook I can use. All I want is a calendar that I can sync with my Blackberry and it seem that Outlook is the only one I can do that with. I don't want to buy it because all I want is the calendar. All I want is a freakin calendar. You would think that they would ad one to the desktop software but no they make you buy a $300.00 software bundle to get a lousy calendar. Help me beat this corporate conspiracy of greed by giving me a copy of Outlook or for you super smart tech types maybe you have another way for me to get a calendar that I can use on my computer and my Blackberry. </div>

    </a>
<div>A man and his dog were walking along a road. The man was enjoying the scenery, when it suddenly occurred to him that he was dead.

He remembered dying, and that the dog walking beside him had been dead for years. He wondered where the road was leading them.
A fter a while, they came to a high, white stone wall along one side of the road. It looked like fine marble. At the top of a long hill, it was broken by a tall arch that glowed in the sunlight.

When he was standing before it he saw a magnificent gate in the arch that looked like mother-of-pearl, and the street that led to the gate looked like pure gold. He and the dog walked toward the gate, and as
he got closer, he saw a man at a desk to one side.

When he was close enough, he called out, "Excuse me, where are we?"

"This is Heaven, sir," the man answered.

"Wow! Would you happen to have some water?" the man asked.

"Of course, sir. Come right in, and I'll have some ice water brought right up."

The man gestured, and the gate began to open.

"Can my friend," gesturing toward his dog, "come in, too?" the traveler asked.

I'm sorry, sir, but we don't accept pets."

The man thought a moment and then turned back toward the road and continued the way he had been going with his dog.

After another long walk, and at the top of another long hill, he came to a dirt road leading through a farm gate that looked as if it had never been closed. There was no fence.

As he approached the gate, he saw a man inside, leaning against a tree and reading a book.

"Excuse me!" he called to the man. "Do you have any water?"

"Yeah, sure, there's a pump over there, come on in."

"How about my friend here?" the traveler gestured to the dog.

"There should be a bowl by the pump."

They went through the gate, and sure enough, there was an old-fashioned hand pump with a bowl beside it.

The traveler filled the water bowl and took a long drink himself, then he gave some to the dog.

When they were full, he and the dog walked back toward the man who was standing by the tree.

What do you call this place?" the traveler asked.

"This is Heaven," he answered.

"Well, that's confusing," the traveler said. "The man down the road said that was Heaven, too."

"Oh, you mean the place with the gold street and pearly gates? Nope. That's hell."

"Doesn't it make you mad for them to use your name like that?"

"No, we're just happy that they screen out the folks who would leave their best friends behind."

                                            Your Brain Usage Profile:

                                                Auditory : 41%
                                                Visual : 58%
                                                Left : 55%
                                                Right : 45%

Darin, you are somewhat left-hemisphere dominant and show a preference for visual learning, although not extreme in either characteristic. You probably tend to do most things in moderation, but not always.

Your left-hemisphere dominance implies that your learning style is organized and structured, detail oriented and logical. Your visual preference, though, has you seeking stimulation and multiple data. Such an outlook can overwhelm structure and logic and create an almost continuous state of uncertainty and agitation. You may well suffer a feeling of continually trying to "catch up" with yourself.

Your tendency to be organized and logical and attend to details is reasonably well-established which should afford you success regardless of your chosen field of endeavor. You can "size up" situations and take in information rapidly. However, you must then subject that data to being classified and organized which causes you to "lose touch" with the immediacy of the problem.

Your logical and methodical nature hamper you in this regard though in the long run it may work to your advantage since you "learn from experience" and can go through the process more rapidly on subsequent occasions.

You remain predominantly functional in your orientation and practical. Abstraction and theory are secondary to application. In keeping with this, you focus on details until they manifest themselves in a unique pattern and only then work with the "larger whole."

With regards to your career choices, you have a mentality that would be good as a scientist, coach, athlete, design consultant, or an engineering technician. You can "see where you want to go" and even be able to "tell yourself," but find that you are "fighting yourself" at the darndest times.

    </a>
										<div>You are The Devil
Materiality. Material Force. Material temptation; sometimes obsession

The Devil is often a great card for business success; hard work and ambition.

Perhaps the most misunderstood of all the major arcana, the Devil is not really "Satan" at all, but Pan the half-goat nature god and/or Dionysius. These are gods of pleasure and abandon, of wild behavior and unbridled desires. This is a card about ambitions; it is also synonymous with temptation and addiction. On the flip side, however, the card can be a warning to someone who is too restrained, someone who never allows themselves to get passionate or messy or wild - or ambitious. This, too, is a form of enslavement. As a person, the Devil can stand for a man of money or erotic power, aggressive, controlling, or just persuasive. This is not to say a bad man, but certainly a powerful man who is hard to resist. The important thing is to remember that any chain is freely worn. In most cases, you are enslaved only because you allow it.

Collars and Collaring

<div>So on Sunday I had a ceremony in witch I collared my slave Bethie. It was a wonderful ceremony. We did a modified version of “The Ceremony of the Roses”. We had our extended leather families there. One person even flew out from North Carolina to attend.
This got me thinking about the collar and what it means to me. Beth is only the third person that has ever earned a permanent collar from me. The first one was a young lady that I met when I was in my mid 20’s and she worked very hard to be the best slave she could be and was rewarded for this by being the first person to wear my permanent collar unfortunately there was an employer several states away that thought this woman would make a great executive and she moved to Maine. The next one was Wendy some of you may remember her. She worked very hard and earned a permanent collar. We were together for several years. That ended when she divorced her husband and bought a small struggling spa in Danville. It became very apparent to both of us that she could not rebuild this business and have time left over to serve me.
I have a three stage process that a person goes through to get a permanent collar.
First the collar of consideration. It is given to someone that you want to explore a more formal relationship with.
Second is the training collar. It is earned by someone that has shown me that they would be a good match for my training style and goals as well as being interested in the things I have to offer them as a slave.
The third is the permanent collar. This collar isn’t earned easily. I outline a set personal and training goals. We work together to meet these goals and when these goals have been met that person has earned there permanent collar.
Earning that permanent collar is not easy. You have to deal with real emotions, work through your stuff, break old habits, tear down your defensive walls and be real honest with yourself and your partner.
I have noticed in recent years that most people don’t really earn there collar. They seem to be given very freely and don’t seem to mean as much as they once did. There seems to be a trend at least in my life that when it comes time to do some real work the prospective slave either runs or gets angry when it comes time to deal with there shit. They don’t want to earn that collar they want it given to them and there are a lot of people in this world that will give away collars like candy to anyone that will call them sir or madam and are fun to play with. When did it become ok to lower our standards to accommodate people that aren’t willing to do the work. This is another example of the sense of entitlement that we as a society have given in to. I was always told that I’m not entitled to anything I haven’t earned and just because I earn something doesn’t always mean I will get it.
As a dominant I am constantly working on my shit. I am always looking for ways to be a better person, partner and dominant. Sometimes I figure these things out on my own and sometimes they are “Pointed Out” but never the less after you hear something a couple of times from a couple of people it is time to take a look and see what needs to be done to put that behavior behind you.
The whole laziness thing really bothers me more now then it used to. Mainly because I look at the small things I have asked people to do to earn a permanent collar and they don’t think it’s worth the trouble. They should just be handed the collar because they are your partner but that just isn’t true. Again with the sense of entitlement. This further bothers me after training Bethie. That girl had to overcome more things then anyone I’ve ever known. She had to overcome immense past trauma just to be able to start the training process and every time we would start something new there were new things to overcome. She never told me it was too hard, not worth the work, wasn’t her problem nothing. I’m not saying any of this was easy but we dealt with things as they came up. We gave up many night of sleep to work through things. We talked for hours at a time. She never gave up on herself or on me no matter how hard things were. It didn’t matter what was going on or what walls were crashing in on her she kept going with integrity and grace. I have never met anyone that was willing to do so much hard work to reach her goals. I am very proud of her. She always says I drive her to be a better person. The funny this is that I think in reality she drives me to be better. She is awesome and I need to do my very best to make sure that I earn the gift of self and service that she give me every day.
It makes me angry beyond belief that after seeing the things that Bethie has had to overcome to get to where she is that I have wasted so much of my time, energy and love on people that for the most part weren’t willing to walk across the room to earn a collar but would tell you that they would do anything to get that collar.
