What?
Every time I find myself at a competition I ask the question "what am I doing here?" Always questioning my reasons for competing. Why do I continually subject myself to the energetic rollercoaster that is competing. Well, since this last weekend I've been thinking about this a lot. I'm not a competitive person, never have been. When I play cards with loved ones I cheer for them when they win (not kidding!). I like to see my loved ones succeed and be happy and this truely makes me happy....

Mahala Dancers performed a full set for the first time! We did it! It was great to see such variety in the solo performances. Bellingham is so blessed with bellydance...aren't we lucky? I'm so proud of all of my students who got up there to perform it's a huge step. Gretchen, Ruthie, Renae, Sarah, Alyssum, Rebecca and Katy.....you all rocked it!

Can't wait to get back there and see some live gypsy music and dance my pants off till 6am again. This trip was amazing, life changing. I got to take over 30 hours of dance classes in about 6 days. It was like I died and went to bellydance bliss. Then I got to take private lessons and sit at the beach for the rest of the month.
