Any words that I could give him seem so, so inadequate; silly even. It has taken me a long
time to come up with even this much, and it still feels empty or missing something,
superficial as is how i usually am. perhaps in time i will be able to write something
better; this is the best i can do for now.
I feel very blessed, on top of an already blessed life, to be able to wake up next to him
every day. I struggle with a lot of guilt for my luck, on top of an abundance of monkey
luck, for getting to share my life with him. I've been around so many wonderful amazing
people in my life, but he takes the cake. Perhaps it is because he has graced me (as well
as others) with so much compassion, patience and understanding. Perhaps it is because I at
least understand enough to be able recognize deep wisdom and intelligence, someone with a
strong profound ability to solve problems quickly, heal and ease way toward peace and
enlightenment. Perhaps it is simply because he is charming, entertaining and good-looking
(yes, he is. very, very sexy), sometimes i wonder. Or evenl.k; better perhaps He speaks
truth in a world of bullshit and lies. A topic of which I do not have even a fragment of an element of which to so eloquently expand on.* and he gave me my son. he gave me my son. he gave my son. I do not know what words are appropriate for eternal gratitude.
As I continue to akwardly stumble through my little existence, he hasn't left. He gracefully
and lovingly calms my intense human perspective, always cautious and sensitive of my more
delicate feminine sensibilites. he manages to challenge me and nurture me romantically at
the same time - both soothing and liberating. I don't know if I could take anymore
sometimes, but don't know what I would do without. he doesn't pull me out of scary holes, he
gently coaxes me out, motivating my strength and will. I am just a very ordinary, average
woman, nothing remarkable about me really. Not especially intelligent, spiritual, clever or
pretty. Wish I could be, but those are some petty wishes for a tumultuous world. anyway,
he's still with me and tells me he loves me. but that is small and petty and possesive too.
he is a gift to this universe. I appreciate him choosing to stay with me as long as he wants
to, and choosing to stay here on this planet. I will do the best i can for him, whatever that may be. I will give him as much peace as I can, as that is what I would like to do most and best.
I want to live for this person. But if a crazed stray bullet, or meticulously executed death
blow were to fly our way, I'd rather have it hit me instead - hopefully, anything even
remotely like that will never happen to us. But rather me than him. rather me than him.
rather me than him. As long as I know that he and my son will continue on, that is all that matters.
