I started with tribal belly dance in 2006 and since them I totally hooked. Just love the ability to express myself in the dance, to communicate with my sisters in dance, to feel like a goddess and be awed by all the beautiful goddesses around me.
I do holistic bodywork in my own clinic. I work with Shiatsu, Reiki and Thai Yoga Massage and teach Reiki. I find my experiences as a bodyworker and as a dancer inspire each other. I would love to fuse them even more in the future. I currently dance in the tribal belly dance troupe Clessidra, we are inspired by Gypsy Caravan and studied a lot with Paulette Rees-Denis´ instructional DVDs. I´ve also been a dancer of the Red Queens until 15.06.08, a group of belly dancers that perform at the Arabian Nights at The Loons, Lyttleton, New Zealand. In March 2008 I did Collective Soul Level 1 with Paulette in Sydney, Australia - what an inspiration. It helped me heaps with my dance and my understanding of it - Paulette is just wonderful, nice and gorgeous! Right now my family and I are moving to south Germany, black forest, to be precise. I´m excited to see what´s happening there with tribal, and very sad to leave my troupe and fellow dancers in New Zealand...

Einführung in ATS Bellydance für Anfängerinnen in Berlin mit Gudrun Herold von Devadasi Caravan
( events » sports / rec ) In diesem WS geht es um die Grundbewegungen des ATS. Wir lernen langsame und schnelle Bewegungen, mit denen wir in einfachen Formationen improvisieren. Auch werden wir einfach Zimbel-Rhythmen kennen lernen und mit den Zimbeln tanzen.

...that Kajira and her lovely girls are wearing on the new DVDs? I know that Kajira mentioned something like "these used to be the traditional sequins" and that you can get them on ebay but haven´t figured out where yet.

I had the honour to dance with Elina and her troupe Tribalika in Freiburg. I met Gabriella from Nea´s Tribal and fell in love with that lively, warm and inspiring woman. I hope for lots of dance with her next year and also look forward to meeting her troupe at some stage, somewhere, somehow?! ...and so is my soul these days. With mixed emotions and total exhaustion we watch the container with our belongings in it being put onto the trailer, direction Lyttleton harbour, then Singapore, then Bremerhaven, the Black Forest. It´s a cut to end our time in New Zealand for now, we´re entering a new stage of our journey, packed with the experience we made, the beautiful people we feel blessed to have met, the amazing places we saw, the beauty of this stunning country.
