iphoto library merging between computers

anyone been able to find away of doing this? i looked and couldn't find a solution so I thought about it and it worked !

the pictures came from a camera so mounted the camera opened up in finder found the folder that the camera stores its images in my case DCMI/ then another left over folder, opened this folder

then on the mac went to user/pictures/iphoto library/ - found pictures

copied onto open folder on camera
