about me
I have never been very good at writing about me. I can write about the world, but writing about me is a challenge. However, I will give it a shot...
I do my best to be a good person, to treat people with love and respect. I am dedicated to the idea of socially conscious living and business, to building strong community, a community of people living and working together in harmony, utilizing each individuals talents in order to raise up as community with a united voice and a united vision. We each have a piece of the puzzle and my hope is to help create a forum in which we can come together and actualize our dreams.
Much of my time is spent working to find ways bring people together, whether through events, online forums, meetings, dinners, interests, etc. I also love music and have always worked to organize events. Lately my career has been refocused to community organizing but events play a big role.
I look around at a world, a world that lately seems to be falling apart at the seams, and I see hope. I see a wave of consciousness that is empowering a movement of people that is paving the next great chapter of life on this planet, and I am working to find my place in the foundation of that movement. I know that when people come together great things can happen… and while this older paradigm of living is failing. I see something new being born. There is a great opportunity that needs to be utilized. Nothing can stand in the way of a million voices calling for change. So I guess it is hard for me to write about me, because I am only a small part of the truth that we are all one, and what we do and accomplish together is what truly interests me.
My passion is my spirituality....shamanism, qigong... and energy work. Everything comes back to my path... to teach and be taught... to exsist always... learning and always sharing... always the path...
Favorite Quotes....
"Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back-- Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth that ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one's favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way. Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now." -Goethe
"This process of listening to our own desires and acting to fulfill them is fundamental to building an identity. We come into this world with a self, but it is more a potential than a fully developed identity. We learn about who we are by what we want, what we do, and what we think and feel. The happiest people always are the ones who risk enough to be fully themselves. They are the ones who play the pre scribed roles the least, but they also have no particular need to be rebels either. They not only have the strongest sense of who they are, they also can receive and give more love than other people because they have confidence that the love that comes their way is real, and not just a response to the roles they play. My grandfather passed away in his sleep last night. I have this memory of him, when my grandmother was in the hospital... the house was dark except for the dining room table where he and I sat. I had come home from the hospital to find him listening to opera, mumbling about needing to fix ...
