BLOGGING I post for YOU : ) my Friend
How can we make peace?
Sat, February 17, 2007 - 10:33 AMIf you ask me to go march against war, I will not come,
but if you gather a PEACE demonstration - I will join..
The difference is - FOCUS on the PEACE : )
So.. with that said.. we can change, we have the power..
we = the people all over the world, not the leaders that where put in position, in a DEMOCRATIC (??) election, to give voice to the people.. not to use us in order to drive their own agenda through.. so okey.. WHAT can be done then?!
You can write, make phonecalls to your newsstation, newspapers, politicians..
arrange demonstration FOR PEACE... do protestlists.. affect the people in power..
I will try to affect people ni MY country.. and do the best I can to fight for PEACE..
That is what a warrior does.. stand up in times of chrisis and defend the weaker -
that is children, women, nature, but actually it is for all humankind..
Some people are blind and driven by their twisted minds..
thinking that war is possible way to reach a goal..
The most important thing RIGHT NOW is not to discuss philosophy,
that is a luxury that we dont have time with right NOW -
since the war machines already is roalling towards the frontline!!
AS WE SPEAK.. THE TIME IS NOW to PREVENT a WORLD WAR III --> People lets help out here. Wake up! Stop feeling "oh not my business" - it is YOUR business.. this is all of our business.. some people think it can be solved without any bloddspill on YOUR shoes, but what if it is the contrary and you are just victims for propaganda.. that you are pawns in a chessgame played by men who easily will sacrifice you to reach their goal? Is that okey? Are YOU ready to die for BUSH?
If NOT.. then do SOMETHING!!
Check up on peacemovements.. how to stop funding the war..
you got more information about your country then I have..
655 000 iraqies killed since 2001,
50 000 of them children under 5 years..
Many of the survival children now forced into prostitution..
3 000 killed american soldiers
21 000 wounded american soldiers
the bill to their healthcare (physical and post traumatic stress)
is gonna cost 1 million dollar each MONTH
the war has costed 2 billion dollars in total..
that is 2 000 000 000 000 dollars -->
which is enough money to solve world hunger.
ALOT of the wounded and mentally damaged soldiers,
still are forced to keep on fighting and are not shipped home..
www.counterpunch.org/chuckma...006.html
One of the female soldiers was raped and harrassed,
and has not been shipped home yet..
People get severly damage by chemical toxins in the weapons
and the children that are born looks like monsters..

I feel you sister!
But I do not see us solving our 3D problems with 3D solutions.
Writing letters to a privately-owned media conglomerate to change it's bedbuddy, the government, it is not the answer. Raising your awareness, and choosing how to apply your consciousness, is the answer. What you focus on, you become. You choose to become the one who fights war, or you choose to become the peace that makes the war impossible. |

Yes I will do both..
I just want to make people aware of the reality, and it is so easy to think it wont affect US.. Yes focus on peace in mind.. I will come to that too! |

I agree with both of you...
Three quotes to add...
Edmund Burke: "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for enough good people to do nothing. The only thing necessary for the triumph of good is for enough good people to do something extra." Mohandas K. Gandhi: "It may be long before the law of love will be recognised in international affairs. The machineries of government stand between and hide the hearts of one people from those of another." Jawaharlal Nehru: “Peace is not a relationship of nations. It is a condition of mind brought about by a serenity of soul. Peace is not merely the absence of war. It is also a state of mind. Lasting peace can come only to peaceful people.” |

What about Israel?
Bush did not create the war out of thin air. The US has a responsibility to, as you say, protect the weak. In this case it is Israel, a nation surrounded by enemies many of whom have as their stated goal its annihilation. The way the US is pursuing this war is very naive -- much like the French who in World War I charged on horseback carrying swords against German artillery capable of destroying entire towns... When the British Air Force arrived and flew over the area and informed the French commanders of the "terrifying" size of the German army, the French did not believe them, so in the same way the Bush Administration does not understand the nature of the threat and they are acting foolishly.
I shall add a quote of my own "Si vis pacem para bellum." [If you want peace prepare for war.] Or a quote from John Paul the Great, "If you want peace, work for justice." We cannot abandon Israel to be overrun by the likes of Iran. If you think the US is oppressive and belligerent, compare it to Iran! Letting Iran destroy Israel might cause a kind of quietude but it would only be the calm before an even greater war than we are faced with now. I would say then that you make some attempt to convince the population of IRAN (and its allies) to leave Israel in peace before the US can honorably leave the Middle East. Of course, I agree that the way the war is being conducted is naive and suspicious at best. The Bush Administration can learn a lot from Britain's involvement with the IRA. They must be much more careful to conduct it in a way that does not create martyrs, protects Iraqis who want to help make democracy work, and focuses on intelligence-based, strategic special operations rather than occupation. One ugly fact of history that the Bush Administration must come to terms with is that the IRA intentionally provoked Britain into attacking Ireland so as to make the Irish more agitated and embittered and willing to fight. |

Thank you
I think it is interesting to read other peoples opinion..
To see how you think and why.. so thank you for that! I dont understand though what you said about IRA? Because Ireland was ockupied and forced to be submissive under another country that made it illegal to be and continue with their lives in their own culture.. Just as horrible as if you would be force to talk swahili and eat food you hated.. its not so funny and I think everyone would protest against such a thing? I dont like lies.. and I would like to be stop fed with propaganda to justify wars against INNOCENT people.. I havent mentioned the problem with what is going on - just that I want to end the war.. This is the difficulties with the world today.. that we have cultures that treats people like shit, either if it is in the east or west.. and just look at WHO does that? MEN that thinks they are the rulers of a country and therefore, they can act as shitty as they want? Yes there are elements that dont care about other peoples life, that are egoistic and wants it ALL.. and yes it is a complex question.. but still - I dont want war.. What do you mean.. has Iran planned to attack Israel? Where did you get that from? The balance between these countries where shifted with the attack of Iraq, or am I wrong? (I wonder seriously) But what I have learned is that Iran has not been to war with other countries in 250 years.. is that wrong? We all know that if someone has descided, to fulfil a prophecy - then we will have a selfulfilling prophecy.. and that scares me.. because to use other people as pawns in wargames doesnt seem right TO ME.. Life is holy.. for me.. but the world looks like it does, its not like I can change anything.. just my own inner life, and my own choises.. and I still have the right, correct me if Im wrong, to ask, to question and to say my own opinion - that I want peace and that I moarn all the victims.. Im not you. Im a woman and only by beeing that, a man can understand what Im talking about how it really feels when I see how women and children are beeing treated in some cultures and by some religious beliefs.. I do know though that by attacking someone it is hard to make a change.. you see, that is why people argue and only dig the conflict deeper into our hearts... How do we who wants peace and love affect those who wants war and only think that control and power and weapons, threats etc is the key.. I dont know.. that is why I post and reflect about everything.. I want to focus on healing.. but it is hard to close my eyes to the world and just go inside my own.. and that is what the ones in control wants. To make us keep silent and NOT question, to not disturb.. to not interupt their plans, right? I am NOT saying that I have the sollution to the conflicts, because if it could be as in my dream and in my wish - there wouldnt be a conflict.. then, in my dream, everybody would have their own therapist... so that we could start to heal our generations that has been so abused.. and by that overcome hate and build bridges between enemies.. we also need healing conversations.. lead by those who are not involved in either side.. a non-partial member.. But that takes respect from both sides, and that seems to be the trick here.. that it is hard to listen and to let go of the control-thing.. Once again.. I dont have any power.. I mean, I dont posess any weapons making me the alpha - a ruler over others life just because they are in fear for me.. that is the easy way to rule.. anyone can kill, but not all can create life.. anyone can close doors - its harder to open it after we have been hurt.. and that goes for all of us.. If you feel that the only solution is to kill, then you will create that into manifestation.. and then others will defend their beliefs, country, goal, rights and lies.. what ever.. so - we know that.. I know the world is filled with weapons.. and leaders that are aggressive... I dont deny that.. I just want a debate.. because if we who are the grass-roots can try to talk about it.. then we might get closer.. understand.. build bridges... Im not saying that it is easy.. but why only talk with people who thinks the same as I do..? I dont even know what others think.. I know what I feel.. and that is so much sorrow of the pain in the world.. I dont like control.. Or to be mistrust, judged and unable.. we all want to be accepted.. loved.. or? Yes I know alot of young men dream about going out to war.. until they have been in one.. hormones? Domestication and propaganda or what? I dont know Im not a man.. I just reflect.. I am a philosopher.. I am not the ones holding the truth.. I try to search for it though.. I am stupid enough to NOT only stay closest to the center of the tree of life.. I climb out on the limbs.. because I want to know.. understand.. learn... I am sorry if I offend anyone.. I am passionate and colourful.. but I dont harm anyone, I think? I just "fight" for what is MY and others right.. To talk about defending weaker ones surrounded by enemies.. why not focus on the control-organisations trying to take over our privatelife? Problems is also inside a country, not only between countries.. I respect your point of view.. I also want to defend weaker.. but where do you get your information from? I know I have less information then you have.. I have just started to realise what horrors that are going on.. How children are forced to *discusted* PROSTITUTION and are abused, because of men fighting with weapons.. anyone that does not think that is wrong is of course sick, perverted and pedofile.. since they feed on that.. Once again, it is hard for me to do anything about that then just cry and feel sick.. What I need to focus on is what I can do.. and also to learn more.. I cannot help but wonder what is behind the propaganda and the corporate interest and the ideologies behind the forces acting out... THAT is the essence of war.. the fighting and shooting is just the symtom.. So yes, that is where we need to, all of us, focus on.. in all cultures.. There are things in life that makes it easy to control others.. as I have said before - yes we have built in weakness.. we have a "reward"-system that gives us a thrill when stimulated.. perhaps we need to heal that and build up an inner defence and understand that process going on inside of us, so that we are stronger to resist the temptations and the false poison.. That is what causes people to be sick, and that makes us depending on drugs, what makes us oversexual (to never feel that it is enough and that we need more and more over the edge to be triggered) that is what makes us over-eat.. salt, sugar, fat.. we are so easy to control by those who has knowledge in this.. our fears of not beeing accepted - which makes us act as copycats of those we see are adored by others and we follow and or protest against mainstream to find our individuality.. always this fight between good/bad.. inside/outside.. male/female.. it manifests in every part of society, in all our conflicts, both inside and outside EVERYWHERE.. THAT is the key.. to peace and healing.. |
