A Plea for Help in San Marcos!
Okay, I'll admit to being a little reluctant about asking for help for a variety of reasons. But now I am to the point of overwhelm.Without getting into the details, The Buddha and I are currently in the process of transitioning from a 4 bedroom/3 car garage home to two seperate homes (both relatively small). Our actual move date is next weekend. So, by next Sunday, the 26th we must be completely moved.)
This weekend, I know that most people are at decom. Believe me, there's no where else I'd rather be right now.
I just got home from dropping Vicky with her Aunt Basha and "Alas!" I am home and feverishly packing and cleaning until 6pm tomorrow when Vicky gets home.
Oh, yes! did I mention I still have to find renters my current home? So, in addition to everything else, I am showing my home to prospective buyers.
As of yesterday, I HAVE been approved for a great little home for myself and Vicky; so I am really excited about the direction things are going... just need to make it over this hurdle.
How can you help?
~ Do some sex magic, say a prayer, repeat a mantra, send out good energy to the universe for me, affirming that we will find new tenants for our current dwelling and also that the details of the move itself will be a smooth undertaking. Don't know what sex magic is? Ask around... it'll make for interesting conversation.
~ YOU COULD FOSTER OUR CAT ASAP so that I can show my home to prospective tenants. She's a sweetie! Incidentally, Fanny will ultimately need to be adopted, so if you're interested in that... all the better for Fanny!!
~ You could come by and sit at my COMPUTER and list things on Craigslist and Freecyle as I drag them out of the garage (that will be on Sunday).
~ You could help me DRAG things out of my garage. I have dumpster in my driveway and am going to have fun throwing a LOT out.
~ You could help clean. I know that's not too glamorous, but it would be a huge help.
So, today I am cleaning and tomorrow is the garage.
If you can make it for help with cleaning/packing/compter help, you will be fed generously AND will have your pick of tons of OBTAINIUM!
Address: 1689 Archer Rd. San Marcos 92078 (take a left on Archer no matter what mapquest/gps says).
If you made it this far, thanks for reading and if you can pass this onto to your friendslists (mine is still pretty small), I'd appreciate it!
Love you all!

Easter at the Races
Business Buddha and I took a very spontaneous trip to San Francisco last week. Neither of us had been before (I know, I know). We did a lot of the obligatory touristy things. All week long we kept saying we were going to see Lombard St. But we didn't end up going until the last day... Easter Sunday. Little did we know that every Easter for the last 7 years, there is an event on Lombard St. called "Bring your own Big Wheel". Hundreds of adults bring all manner of kiddie bikes and trikes and race down Lombard St.We walked up just in time to get choice spots for the races (4 total). It was one of the highlights of a great trip. Here's my view of the 2nd race. Watch out for the kilt flasher at 2:09. Definitely a lot of burners in this event. Enjoy!

Meet Fanny!
A couple months ago our family started doing some volunteer work with a couple of the cat rescues in our area. Here is our most recent foster kitty. Her name is Fanny. So named because she came to us following repair of a broken jaw that she got when the car engine she was sleeping next to got turned on and her jaw got caught in the fan.She is the most relaxed cat I've ever seen... but particularly when you consider all she has been thru. The best part about her though is that due to her injury and surgery, her tongue sticks out to the side permanently. It's really cute.
I got this picture of her and thought you would all enjoy it... but I particularly thought to post it for Bobby who LOVES cat pictures! He was just telling me recently that he wishes there were more cat pictures on line. Love you, Bobby!
It's such a cliche...
... but it seems as though for Business Buddha's FORTIETH birthday, we are both going to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. If we make it to the ground at a relatively low velocity, we'll give you all the deets. If not, I love you ALL!Tagged twice: by Squishy and Whim
Rules: 8 facts about me, tag 6, no tag backs1) I was born and raised in Nashville, but I don’t have a Southern accent… at least I reckon I don’t.
2) When I was very young, I was bitten by a water moccasin (deadly venomous snake). I didn’t die (no, really), but I was bedridden for weeks with huge sores all over my body. The doctors thought that I had venom-induced leukemia. My dad knew the doctors were testing for it but never told my mom. He told me years later that he cried like a baby when the tests came back negative.
3) Before I was a stay-at-home-mom, I owned a massage therapy business in Las Vegas with a dozen massage therapists. Before that, I was a registered nurse. Before that I worked my way thru nursing school by getting up 7 days a week at 4am to deliver newspapers and also working evenings as a cashier at a grocery store. Being a mom is much harder, but much more rewarding.
4) I met my life partner (Business Buddha) on Match.com, back when they had a 30-day free trial. We met 9 years ago next Monday (6/27).
5) I can touch the bottom of my foot to the top of my head.
6) I didn’t lose my virginity until I was 20 years old.
7) I have never drunk a beer or smoked a cigarette.
8) This is my first blog ever and I had a dickens of a time figuring out how to do it even though I am reasonably computer savvy.
