I've just created a new home page for TurkuGuide.com, our site of information about Istanbul. I've been really inspired as I have been learning about aging photographs with photoshop. I wanted to put old postcards on the page, but didn't want to take them off the web. So, I used a photo of my daughter, a friend, and a pic I took in the Harem at Topkapi Palace and aged them.Thu, February 12, 2009 - 6:42 AM permalink - 2 comments

So, the demolition of Sulukule has begun...early. It wasn't supposed to start until the end of the month, but the bulldozers started up last week. Some of the Roma hadn't removed their belongings yet, since many do not have somewhere else to go. March 11, 2008Carla is the most amazing woman...she sees something that intrigues her, and she's off to master it. And then she does! Such a great teacher and an even better friend. I know in her I have loyalty and love for life. Beautiful Carla, I love more than you know!
July 18, 2007I want to be Carla when I grow up! Carla inspires me and I envy her zill skill! And I really wish she lived closer to me cause' she is just a cool chick to hang out with.
June 30, 2007Carla is an amazing spirit! From her music to her dance to hosting guedras, she brings so much our community and is a real treasure. One of my fondest memories is of watching Carla during our first Pennsic, off in the shadows under a tree--- just dancing for the joy of the dance.
