ALL PRETTY IN PINK WITH RHODONITE

Rhodonite creates the basis for this pretty pink necklace set. There are three 20mm Rhodonite coins, a couple of 6mm round Rhodonite beads and a whole bunch of 10x6mm faceted Rhodonite briolettes which are in sets of three with a 12-15mm flat rectangular Biwa freshwater light pink pearl between each set. There are light pink glass seed beads separating each bead. The necklace is completed with a sterling silver hook clasp and the matching earrings contain Rhodonite coins, several seed beads and round Rhodonite beads, dropping from sterling silver French ear wires. The length of the necklace is slightly over 19" and the earring components drop 1 1/2" from the ear wires. Rhodonite is such a beautiful gemstone and with the medium pink color and the light pink of the Biwas it's perfect for lovers of pink and it's multi-seasonal value. It's also versatile ~ the briolettes can be turned all one way (inside or outside) or they can be turned to alternate and portray a totally different look.

his gorgeous Ocean Jasper butterfly is enhanced by a small Swarovski bicone crystal on one of the wings as well as on the tail. What a lucky butterfly! The crystal gives her class! The colors in my butterfly prompted me to surround it with like colors ~ moonstone beads placed beside the bail for the pendant, taupe rectangle wood beads and disks, lots of square grey Mother of Pearls and Swarovski golden shadow bicone crystals. A very versatile necklace set in tones of gold and brown hues. Since those colors are standard for most everybody's wardrobe, it will blend well and be a staple in your jewelry collection. The focal bead is the 40mm flat Bamboo rectangle with double holes. Nestled next to the holes for both strands are brown Jasper 5mm round beads. The inner strand contains skinny 5" bamboo tube beads interspersed with natural color donut beads with medium brown wood disk beads sandwiched between. The outer strand has almost an entire strand of 3x6mm Graphic Feldspar Heishi beads with an occasional golden wood square mixed in. All lead to a gold-toned three strand holder bar with a Rhodium vine hook clasp. The matching earrings have the same components and drop from 14kt gold filled ball end ear wires. The inner strand measures 17 1/4" and the outer strand 19" in length. The earrings drop 1 1/4" from the ear wires. The soft bent swirl design of this 14kt gold drop with a freshwater pearl nestled into the circular mount is a simple but unique accent. This necklace is the ultimate in simplicity and style. In describing the materials used in this design, there won't be much to tell. From the gold filled hook clasp, there are 5mm oval shell beads, bronze colored seed beads and 4mm Jasper squares combined in a pattern which eventually leads to the inclusion of 8mm balsa cream colored rectangles and then back to the sequence without them to the clasp. Looks like Granny Smith apples were sliced and put into this necklace! Actually, I used 17mm Peridot Jasper oval coins, 5mm cubes and 13mm rectangle beads with gold seed beads to separate. Simple but definitely complimentary to many of today's styles. The necklace is 17", including gold filled beaded hook clasp. Matching earrings are included, of course! You can tell I love these colors (there are plenty of lime hued items listed!), and this one is no exception. I also appreciate simplicity in conveying one's uncluttered lifestyle. Blue Heaven ~ Necklace Set

The drop on this necklace/earring set is absolutely stunning! It's one of Swarovski's Cosmic golden shadow crystals with a cobalt blue glass 5 sided tube bead and smaller 6mm golden shadow bicone dangling from the end and silver open cut round beads to complete the drop. The rest of the necklace has the same components only with a few larger round faceted 8mm blue crystals and a number of Swarovski golden shadow bicones between the cobalt blues. Carnelian Nugget and Rust Hues Make this Necklace a Dazzler!

The colors in this necklace/earring set are vibrant and are set off with sterling silver to create a sunset look. I started with a 32mm Carnelian Nugget as a pendant; connected to the necklace with a sterling silver bail. The rest of the necklace is made up of Red Agate rondelles, orange (although they look brown) Carnelian 4mm rounds and intermittently placed Bali crescent rolled tube beads. The clasp is a sterling silver heart and arrow toggle clasp. Earrings to match consist of two of the rondelles and a Bali decorative sterling silver spacer bead and drop from a sterling silver leverback. The necklace measures 20 3/4" including clasp. Add another 1 3/8" for the pendant and clasp. The earrings drop 1" from the leverbacks. Yes ... I do believe it looks like sunset colors! Aquamarine, Aqua Terra Jasper and a Beautiful Lampwork Glass Focal

The Lampwork glass oblong focal bead, created by artist Brynn Foss, sets the stage for the coordinating colors in the rest of the necklace. The photos don't show how well they match, but Aqua is evident in both the focal bead and the rest of the elements of this necklace. 20ga Sterling Silver wire was used to extend the focal bead below the rest of the necklace. There are several Bali granulated spacer beads throughout and they surround both the focal bead as well as the pattern consisting of 6mm round Aquamarine beads, Aqua Terra Jasper in both coin and rectangle shapes and Chilean off-center drilled Cats Eye beads. The clasp is a wired sterling silver "S" hook. The earrings consist of the same elements as the necklace and drop from French ear wires. The length of this unique necklace is 21". The focal bead drops about 1" from the necklace as do the earrings from the ear wires. I love to design something a little bit different and I hope I hit the mark with this one. The colors are much more muted (especially the brown/olive green) than displays in the photos. It's a versatile blend of colors and would complement many wardrobe items.

Abstract Art Glass Pendant, Silk Cord and Stainless Steel Necklace Set

This very unique necklace was created to highlight the Abstract Pendant, created by Paula Hall . My inspiration to make the entire necklace an abstract piece of wearable art was based on the pendant and that ordinary beads just wouldn't extend the abstract theme. (Besides, I couldn't find the right color of "gold" to match!). There is obviously an iridescent quality to the pendant which caused me to look for alternative elements to emphasize it. Silk cord came to mind and for some reason I see lime in the pendant (probably the blending of gold and blue) which I decided to pair up with black silk cord. That was too boring by itself, so decided that my variety of stainless steel beads (which have big enough holes to put the cord through) would be unique and abstract enough to make this necklace a definite "eye-popper"! The stainless steel beads are kept in place by sterling silver crimp covers and the clasp is a simple hook clasp. The matching earrings consist of sterling silver beads with two different size Swarovski cube beads with a black agate melon bead between. They drop from citrine beaded sterling silver ear wires. The necklace measures 23" including clasp. The pendant adds another 1 3/4". The earrings drop 1" from the ear wires. The eclectic look of this necklace is the result of wanting to design something abstract to appeal to those of you who want a very unique necklace/earring set to add to their jewelry collection.

A Very Unique Crab Agate Round Pendant with Carnelian Arrows

A Crab Agate 40mm Round Pendant (sometimes called a spider web agate) definitely steals the show in this necklace set! With a little imagination, it almost looks as if the sunset is shining through some clouds. I used Carnelian 10-11mm arrow beads to accent the burnt orange color in the focal pendant, and there are additional 8mm flat oval Carnelian beads which lead up to the sterling silver Trigger clasp. The earrings are of matching color and drop a mere 12mm from the sterling silver French ear wires. The necklace measures 16 1/4" including clasp. The 'crackle' appearance of the Crab Agate is such a show-stopper and is even more pronounced with the Carnelian arrow beads. It's a simple design but I think if it were any busier it would take away from the pendant.

Chalcedony, Larvikite, Grey Lace Agate and Matching Gems Necklace Set

The 30mm Round Chalcedony Focal Bead with it's greyish brown hues gave me enormous choices for other gemstones to complement the Chalcedony and each other. Included with these gemstones are Hill Tribe Star bead covers, two 8mm round brushed silver flat disk beads, and a sterling silver heart shaped toggle clasp. The gemstones, besides the focal bead, are 18mm flat rice shaped Larvikite (notice the light blue flash-like reflections in this gorgeous gemstone), 8mm Bamboo Raft Glaucophane Schist rounds, 3mm Onyx rounds, and 6mm Grey Lace Agate rounds. The matching earrings contain Onyx, Larvikite, Grey Lace Agate and drop from an Onyx beaded sterling silver ear wire. The necklace measures 19" in length (slightly longer than a choker) and the earrings drop 1 1/4" from the ear wires. I had fun designing this necklace set! The challenge to put greys and browns together, most of which have both colors as inclusions, came together to become a beautiful creation which has enormous possibilities for jewelry adornment.

Yes ... a 25x19mm Fossilized Ammonite is the focal on this rich brown necklace. It drops from the necklace with a sterling silver bail between antiqued bronze spacer beads, then antiqued copper hollow filigree beads are added and followed by more spacer beads and four 20x15mm Bronzite Puffy Rectangle Dome beads with a continuation of the spacers and the filigree beads between and following for quite a length up to the sterling silver twisted rope toggle clasp. The matching earrings contain an antiqued copper filigree bead, a Bronzite bead, a 6mm lined sterling silver round bead, another filigree bead and dropping from a sterling silver French ear wire. The necklace is very long ~ measuring approximately 33 1/2" including the clasp. The earrings drop 1 1/4" from the ear wires. Wrapping this necklace around the neck twice creates a different look to an otherwise long fashionable necklace which seems to be in vogue right now. The colors are very rich, almost golden brown and is therefore very versatile both in color and in how you wear it. And the Fossilized Ammonite will definitely bring some inquisitive glances!

Faceted Turquoise Jasper Square Pendant and Aqua Blue Amazonite Necklace

Dropping from a sterling silver pinch bail, this large 40mm, 5mm thick Faceted Turquoise Jasper Pendant, with it's different turquoise and green hues, has company with cultured freshwater evergreen dyed 5mm potato pearls, 14mm aqua blue Amazonite puff rectangles and many Bali sterling silver bead caps and spacers. The finishing touch is a unique sterling silver 'question mark' hook clasp. The matching earrings contain sterling silver round beads, four sided Bali 8mm geometric bead with an amazonite rectangle atop and dropping from a turquoise beaded sterling silver ear wire. The necklace is 19" in length, including clasp. The earrings drop 1 1/8" from the ear wires. I used the 'evergreen' colored cultured pearls in order to bring out the green inclusions on the pendant. Combined with silver, it has a unique cool color effect for emphasis on its use with the large variety of colorful patterns evident in this summer's fashion apparel.

A Chalcedony Pear Shaped Pendant is Enhanced by a Chinese Knotted Silk Cord Necklace

The Chalcedony 40x20mm pear shaped pendant has a 20ga sterling silver wire holding it and then both drop from a sterling silver bail. The bail is in the middle of a Double Coin Chinese Knot of two colors ~ bright and dull gold. The silk cords then continue on both sides up to sterling silver tri-circle beads. Following that on both sides are the silk cords in continuous Chinese Snake Knots up to a Sterling Silver dotted Hook Clasp. The earrings I chose to match are Swarovski chandelier earrings with golden hued crystals and dropping from Citrine beaded ear wires. The choker length necklace is 15 1/2" and the coin knot, bail, wire and pendant will add another 3" drop. Although the snake knots are not difficult to create, they are extremely time consuming. Unusual in their design and perfect for a choker length necklace. The golden colors match beautifully with the stone and would look fantastic with most any of your wardrobe colors.

Coffee Beans, Wood and Shell Disks Produce Warm Colors

Dark Espresso Coffee Beans produce a novel necklace especially when combined with round wood beads in two different sizes and colors with shell disks added ~ just because! Not much else to say except it's a fun necklace and earring set that has a casual look about it. The necklace measures 18" including Rhodium plated vine hook clasp. The earrings of similar materials are about 1 1/16" inches in length and drop from sterling silver posts. This is an untested product but I haven't been particularly careful with the necklace and none of the coffee beans have broken! They've been washed and dried so shouldn't transfer oils onto your clothing but as short as it is, you would probably wear it as a choker style. What a conversation piece!

The center focal bead is a 16mm Swarovski Cosmic Crystal AB (aurora borealis) and then is surrounded on both sides by cultured freshwater natural color 6mm button pearls. (All reference to pearls from now on is this same pearl identifier) The pearls are then separated every two by a round crystal AB. Following a few more pearls and crystals there is a Swarovski 11mm Clear Graphic crystal and then the sequence of pearls and crystals continues until joined to a 10mm round Swarovski Mirror locking clasp. The matching earrings are sterling silver fish hook style with a chain dangling from which is attached a round crystal AB, two pearls and then another round crystal AB. The necklace measures 17 1/2" in length (just slightly longer than a choker). For those who are not aware of what AB (Aurora Borealis) means in a crystal, one side is coated with a substance which causes the reverse side to have a kaleidescope of color.
