My children are fabulous. We had a great time and they got to put on party clothes....
When simple pleasures are so eas y to come by, it sure makes them worthwhile. Haven't felt much like writing much... October was a really bad month for me. Just didn't see too much light.. I had 7's lining up all month. 7 years since I was pregnant with my daughter and started experiencing symptoms, 7 years since my mon and Dad spent a birthday with Jordan, Jordan's 14th birthday and a Dr. Appointment on the 27th that was less than encouraging...... So I have been regrouping, I started a blog to vent all my frustrations... Format is cooler than tribe to blog for real. So I am trying to do my own 6 degrees of separation experiment.... I want to find someone who know someone, who knows someone, ect who can guide me through the process of designing attractive medical & personal hygiene products and getting them to market.... Anyone want to help out???? All efforts will be appreciated.... Check out my new blog... http://according2t.blogspot.com
Blessings & Light

I am in somewhat of an insatiable period..... Nothing seems to fill or satisfy. I am sensing something enormous is about to engulf my life and I find myself periodically grasping at invisible ropes to hang onto, wrap around my body to keep me stationary. Fear, anxiety and pure unadulterated pleasure is around the corner and not being able to control it is overwhelming me. Breathe, I need to breathe better. Slow down and listen, stop talking and be.
Friday's Neuro-science conference is making me a bit nutty I guess. Perhaps brain and neuro scpecialist's won't know if my mind is slightly altered to calm my nerves.... Since all they want is my DNA, some questions answered on being a person living with ALS, a little smoke before hand couldn't hurt!? I love not having a job anymore for the simple fact "random drug tests".... I would so have to go to rehab for weed.
That's sad. Just make it legal already. I've never seen an assassin pot head!
So apparently, I am going to be a huge science project for my neurological dr's ... Harvard's main man has asked me to be part of his lecture. I am so genetically unique that my DNA may actually lead to a real break through in research. Who knew???? I hope I can at least give insight, and hopefully one day my daughter, who shares my genetic make-up will be able to live without the uncertainty of having a child with Down Syndrome and potentially develop ALS.
I wanted to be famous. This just seems a bit extreme way to get it! Breathe, live, love, laugh and remember why I need to breathe, to live, to love, to laugh really hard.

Dang it, smang it..... We didn't get a whole Walk team photo....... Not sure what we we doing, thinking, but everyone was in a hundred different places all the time...... It was so successful! Made our walks of the past look like disfunctional get togethers.... We are on our way after 5 years, to finally getting news coverage and public awareness!
This photo is very special, my Dad, Husband, children, sister and two friends who made the posters of my Mom gathered before the rest of our members arrived....
To date the ALS Association has raised over $500,000. This is a huge miles stone for a disease, most know nothing about.
A huge thank you to all who donated their time and money. A special thanks to my friends who keep showing up year after year. It means everything!
And Suz...... Girl it was great to meet ya... Glad you got "jumped into the gang."

A friend of my father's wrote the following..... He lives in Rexford, Montana. This has been a really bad fire season and it left this poor fawn motherless.
It touched me. What a beautiful creature!

A very eventful day around here... A once in many lifetimes experience!
Mark saw this lil' feller run out in front of a car, thought it was a lost baby goat. Stopped to get it, and WOW. A real Albino Whitetail Deer. Just hours old, but doing fine. No Momma deer around. Another car nearly hit it in front of Mark...

Well,, he is THE neatest thing any of us ever saw. And such a 'freak of nature', that only 1 in more than a million are even born. He took his bottle of food, followed us around the house, doing great. So, we called the Zoo & Fossil Rim, who were both interested, but we're going to send him to a Rehab farm. Maybe he will make it in captivity somewhere and be appreciated. So rare... Sure wanted to keep him tho. but, not the thing to do. And not LEGAL either ; But, here are a couple of pix to show ya. He was snow white, pink eyes, ears, nose and hooves. Kids called him POWDER. He was SO small. That is my shoe lying beside him... WOW..how cool is that??

On a recent trip to Wyoming to visit my Father, we flew into Denver and drove 6 hours to Riverton, Wyoming, due to direct flight issues and me being in a wheelchair. We drove, and drove through open masses of nothing but rolling hills. Hours would go by without seeing "a Town with people." What we did see however, we many small abandoned "GHOST TOWNS." I am told these towns were booming in the 50's when American OIL was thriving. Our people had jobs, our people were using and selling our own oil. Imagine that! I was also informed that the oil is still there! But because it is too expensive, the land historically Native American and a host of other reasons that didn't make sense to me. WE THE PEOPLE, let this valuable resourse remain in the ground while we fund other countries resources. While in Wyoming we visited an actual Dinosaur museum. They have 60 dig sites that are currently in active status...... SO TELL ME IF I'M WRONG..... But doesn't oil come from fossils????????
Yes I understand the need to preserve, keep Native American Heritage and Wild horses need to roam free... We saw a herd and they were flawless. But, how as a society can we not use what we have to ENABLE our own people?? Create jobs and build communities instead of fighting wars over oil in foreign lands. The vacant towns remain, with only dust collecting........ Just something else that makes me crazy!!!!!! Oh yea, also in the 50's on an oil dig site, they were drilling about 100 miles into the earth and guess what they found......A GLACIER! Yep, ice. It remains untouched. Too expensive to excavate...
But we can spend billions across the big pond to sell our military's lives......

I can't believe it's time to gear up for the walk again. This year should prove very interesting. My sister, Tana and I have been asked to join the steering committee. We'll see if they ask us to volunteer next year.....smile.
The walk is going to be at Centennial Olympic Park, Saturday September 30th.
Anyone with family friendly talents or skillzzz that would like to volunteer/ offer reduced fee entertainment let me know. Jugglers, hulahoopers, face painters, ect.... There will be media coverage this year!!!!!!
Plus it is for a worthy cause.... Mine!!!!!
Please join me in my battle with ALS.
Blessings & Light

I got fitted for my leg braces today. Much less traumatic than I expected. My refusal for much needed support devices ended TODAY. "Stubborn woman", my family and friends say...... smile.
I realized that walking with braces is better than not walking at all. After all I have been using a walker for 4 years. While my mind is strong, my spirit more energized my physical self is faltering. One more device added to my daily life.
I am determined to continue the battle, with a sense of humor and a dry martini........ 3 olives please.
Blessings & Light

My beautiful friend Jen, inspired the spiritual journey that I ventured on over a year ago. Now she is pregnant with her first child and I couldn't be more pleased. A special soul waited patiently for her and her husband to ready themselves to venture into parenthood.
To my friend all my wishes for a blissful, happy, engaging, loving, sharing life.........

What an incredible day. I put my baby to bed last night with her favorite story "Princess in the Castle", (I made it up for her when she was 2) Today, she awoke a young lady. Off to get her ears pierced, she sat so brave and steady. Not a tear shed. Smiling ear to ear, glancing at every mirror evident. The shiny stones gleamed in the sunlight of the afternoon......
Too soon, my young daughter, will be a woman. Beautiful, brave, proud, kind and sharing everything she is... Everything I believe with certainty she will stay.

What an excting venture, I have been guided back to. I started writing my book April 2003. I am into full force again. The creative energy has sparked and reenergized my soul. Words are flowing freely..... Pray I can keep up the pace to finish this time.......

This photo brings back fond memories of warmth and love...
Today is January 27th, bright and beautiful 48 degree day.
Thought about going outside with my 5 year old daughter as she just arrived home from a strenuous day of Kindergarten, but not quite warm enough for me.
Tomorrow shows promise of 65 degrees. Yahoo!
A pre-suntan day. With my new electric wheelchair, I can even recline in it. Rocks the free world. Doesn't go very fast but hey racing with stars isn't what I am trying to do anymore.
Tonight will be another Disney Channel movie fest, so I am preparing myself mentally for yet another exciting Friday evening.
Until next time.... May the light always shine for each of you.
Love & Light
