I dance at a few different studios and volunteer at Westfield Heritage Village. Sometimes the two things meet in an odd historical bellydance related sort of way.

Invasion of the body snatchers.
You thought that was long over didn't you? Well you're wrong, it still happens. They took my hairdresser. At least that's all I can think happened.

In stead of my usual pre-War (pre-anytime I want to look nice) appointment of carrot red hair, maybe some blonde hilights, and keep it long long long... my body snatching doopleganger gave me the darkest red I have ever seen in my life. Like I needed more help in looking like pasty irish girl? Now I'm emo.

Now frankly although I know the darker colours are more "traditional" I guess is as good a word as any, I have seen many tribal dancers and tribal fusion dancers who are busting out with the brighter colours and they ... read more
