A quote for the day/Fodder for thought!!

"Peace, in the sense of the absence of war, is of little value to someone who is dying of hunger or cold. It will not remove the pain of torture inflicted on a prisoner of conscience. It does not comfort those who have lost their loved ones in floods caused by senseless deforestation in a neighboring country. Peace can only last where human rights are respected, where people are fed, and where individuals and nations are free" - The XIVth Dalai Lama

The tree which moves some to tears of joy is in the eyes of others only a green thing that stands in the way. Some see nature all ridicule and deformity... and some scarce see nature at all. But to the eyes of the man of imagination, nature is imagination itself.”--William Blake

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings.
Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.
The winds will blow their own freshness into you...
while cares will drop off like autumn leaves--John Muir

Life is life's greatest gift. Guard the life of another creature as you would your own because it is your own. On life's scale of values, the smallest is no less precious to the creature who owns it than the largest~ Lloyd Biggle Jr

Peace is not just a relationship of nations. It is a condition of mind brought about by a serenity of soul. Peace is not merely the absence of war. It is also a state of mind. Lasting peace can come only to peaceful people-Jawaharlal Nehru

A contemplator ... ergo I think probably a little more than I do, ho hum!!! A harmless eccentric (long may we reign!!!) A fervent (but peaceful) objector to acts of cruelty to our beautiful planet and it's myriad of inhabitants, both human and animal kind. Ooooooh, and last but not least, a bit of a scatterbrain and an unabashed tree hugger (oh yeah!)
