A Magical Trip
A Magical TripThis maybe a little lengthy, but I have a deep desire to share with you……….What for me was a magical journey that I was fortunate enough to be accompanied with one magical elk ( www.flickr.com/photos/103.../870105902/ ) www.flickr.com/photos/103.../922992545/ , three foxy nymphs(www.flickr.com/photos/103.../869313719/ )and one crazy kooky Owl (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../922321251/ ) on our way up to Oregon.
So, I arrived in Los Angeles at 12:15am at night and I was off to renting a jeep to go on up to Oregon for the Contact Festival. After trying to find the jeep that I rented for about an hour, I had finally found it, which happened to be a Jeep Commander , and let me tell you, this jeep was no commander.
Just so you know, we were to be traveling up to Oregon for a musical festival called the Contact Festival and we were to be traveling with my great friend Armando(www.flickr.com/photos/103.../908072629/ ), three young ladies that I had never met before, Jessica Rachel(www.flickr.com/photos/103.../922458176/ ), Jessica Suzanne(www.flickr.com/photos/103.../908904924/ ), and Liz Eleanor(www.flickr.com/photos/103.../908935578/ ) and myself. The other funny thing about it is that my friend Armando had just recently met them as well. He met Jessica Rachel and Liz at I believe was a moon tribe gathering and had invited them to go to Oregon, and obviously since they are the misses of adventure they naturally decided to come, and he had just met Jessica Suzanne at some other place that I am not recalling right now and she also decided to go. So, basically we were meeting for the first time on our trip.
I called my main silly qwacker Armando up on the phone after I rented the jeep, to let him know that I arrived and that I would need directions to his house. He passed the phone over to this interesting, energetic person named Jessica, that I had never met or spoke to before, and she commenced to give me directions, and after a few silly comments that we exchanged with each other, I received the directions from ms. Jessica, I shortly arrived over to my friend Andrew schavonne’s (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../922864420/ ) house, which is where every one was to meet up. Now I knew immediately that after speaking with Jessica, that we had a krazy kool strong connection and I was able to feel that this was going to be an interesting week.
I arrived at schavonne’s aka the caveman (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../922727676/ ) house and he was sleeping, but he had to work and I understood that he was lacking Iron in his diet, so therefore he was sleepy :p .
And we were missing Miss Emily as well, who is this incredible trooper with mad ninja like happy skills (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../922727790/ . She couldn’t go either.
So I finally met Jessica and Jessica and Liz and immediately I could feel their incredible vibe. Gabby (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../921742065/ )and John (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../922864022/ ) were there to see us off, and they both wanted to come but weren’t able to . We had all decided it was better to just leave at night instead of waiting for the morning. So, we all loaded up the jeep in record time, and we were off to northern California. I had just arrived from getting off the plane so I still had the excitement jitters so I was the first driver, and of course, we had missed our first exit of the trip and had to turn back and it seemed to be a theme of our trip, having to turn back around :p . Before I got on to the exit I stopped at the gas station and loaded myself up with all sorts of caffeine for our trip and my copilot was Ms. Jessica Rachel, who happens to be the best co pilot ever!! We talked for hours while pretty much everyone was trying to get some sleep so I popped in a CD of Trentmoller to start the trip. What an interesting person I discovered that Jessica is, she had told me about all her travels that she had experienced, and Liz who was sleeping in the back was a travel partner of hers, so they had gone all over the world together. We never seemed to miss a beat, the whole time, great chemistry right from the go, by the time the sun came out, I was ready to try to rest a little bit, so Jessica took over the wheel, I went to the back, Liz came to the front to be Jessica’s co pilot and we were off again. Of course, I couldn’t sleep, and of course Armando could :p ….. Damn Him!!
After a few hours of driving, we finally passed San Francisco, every one had woken up, and we all collectively seemed to absolutely click with one another. The chemistry was magical from the beginning, all of us were in fantastic moods, with vibrant energy and we just seemed to laugh it up the whole time. At this time, Armando and I would just look at each other and know………This was going to be a special trip .
We had traveled a couple hours north of San Francisco and we all kind of got hungry and we decided to stop in a little town. This town sort of reminded me of the Old west as there are many towns in northern California that have this similar feel to it. We ate at a restaurant that served all sorts of crazy food, like buffalo, elk and kangaroo straight from Australia, yuckkkkk. Needless to say, we passed on the captain kangaroo and ate a duck salad, the salad was good, but the duck looked like no duck I ever had, the meat was red, the food was chewy and it left a bad aftertaste, but other than that It was fantastic :p .
We had gone a few more hours north and we were now entering Red Wood Country. After all, half the reason why we went was to see the Red Wood’s. I was very excited to be able to see these amazing trees for the first time in my life as was every one else. We stopped at the first national park that had Red Wood’s (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../909169866/ ). I was absolutely amazed to see such incredible creations (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../908341827/ ). They seemed to be like majestic, great grandfather’s of time, www.flickr.com/photos/103.../924186850/ looking over everyone, weathering through lightning, fire and anything else that came it’s way. We hugged trees (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../908341805/ ) and played silly style (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../908341871/ ) and just had www.flickr.com/photos/103.../924186958/ a lot of fun (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../908341849/ ). After staying there for a couple hours, we decided to head further up north and try to find a camp site. As we were entering the first camp site, we saw a bunch of Elk (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../924043615/ )on this particular camp site, and this is where mr. elk first appeared (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../922992545/ . Armando my good friend who is a Taurus had created mr. elk and he did a wonderful impersonation of what a silly elk would sound like. Sort of like Smokey the bear but in elk form. Mr. Elk was wise elk… :p We had lots of fun with him through out our entire journey, he just seemed to appear every once in a while and always was able to bring out a laugh in all of us. Armandooooooo amigo .
So the first camp site that we arrived, we had to drive through the forest for about 10 minutes, and the sun was still up, we were able to see the sun rays shining through the forest, it was really beautiful, the sun rays . Unfortunately, the camp site was full, but the park ranger was a really nice guy and had pointed us in the right direction, and that was further down south, so this was now the second time that we had to turn around, which was about half an hour south. After, about half an hour more of laughing, and trying to find a campsite, we did.
We found our camp site, and we unpacked. We had brought 2 tents with us, but one of them was slightly difficult to unpack at that time, so we decided to just put up one tent, it was a 3 man tent and there were 5 of us. So we put up our camp site, pulled out a few beers and rushed to see the sun set together. The campsite that we were was right up against the pacific coast, up against the ocean. So after walking around to try to find a good spot, we were extremely fortunate to find a perfect place. The sun set was amazing (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../908327181/ ) we got there just in time. We saw sea lions down below on the rocks, we enjoyed a very special time with each other. We smiled and laughed so much that my stomach was hurting from laughing so much (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../909108272/ ). This is where Mr. Owl made his appearance, the girls called me Mr. Owl, and it just seemed to stick through out the whole trip, so of course, I played the role. It was really a lot of fun, role playing with one another and truly just enjoying ourselves. We seemed to just be magical together, a perfect cocktail of personalities. (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../909108224/ )
It started to get dark, and we decided to walk back to our camp site. I led the way, and of course, we got lost :p . We kept passing by the same people’s camp site, till after a while one of the camper’s pointed that out to us :p . It was a lot of fun, getting lost in the camp site. Finally we found our spot, Armando put up some veggies and hot dogs on the grill, which btw, Armando ROCKS!!! He was always concocting something delicious to eat through out our whole trip! I love you maaaan!! After a few drinks, and some of California’s finest herbs, I was feeling pretty good. The whole evening seemed to go smooth, we were definitely connecting.
We started to get a little tired after a whole day in the car, so went inside our tent the five us, and amazingly enough we all fit in, hahahahaha. I don’t know how we did it, but we fit 5 of us and mr. elk and mr. owl in that 3 man tent. It was cold that evening, so I made sure that I was going to be in the middle :p like the good Leo I am, we all kept each other warm, and we did lots of laughing in that tent. I don’t know how we ended up going to sleep, every time we tried to get quiet, Jessica Suzanne would try to hold her laugh in and she couldn’t, and this went on for a very long time. Haha…..I will never forget it, how fun it was, all together in that little tent. It’s a nice memory .
We got up in the morning, Armando made a wicked omelette for us, with all sorts of nice veggies in it and Jessica Suzanne made some killer French toast. We started to clean up ourselves and our area to so we could get going, I put in some Cosma for us to listen to and we started packing. After about an hour or so, we were done and we were on our way to Oregon. Yoooooooohooooooooo
Thank you California, but Oregon was awaiting us.
We needed to stop at an internet to get the directions, since they weren’t posting the directions until the day of the festival. We stopped and drank some chai at a café internet, and we got the directions for The Festival. Armando was my co pilot, and errrrmmm got us going south, so again, we had to turn around after about half hour of going the wrong way, we turned back, btw the third time now. All though I’m very glad that we had went the wrong way, because it was a beautiful windy road, full of forestry and was filled with lots of nature. I popped in some Atmos and we jammed to “The Only Process” which btw is probably one of my all time favorite tracks. It was nice, and entering Oregon was beautiful, the highway we went on (highway # I forget :P ) is one of the most gorgeous roads I have ever been on in North America, and Armando was doing a great job capturing moments with his head stuck out of the car with the camera. At this time, we were really all jamming to some tunes and the highway was filled with streams, and forestry and cliffs. Filled with panoramic views we were all truly amazed of how beautiful and green everything was, it was a real treat being able to drive on this road.
We were now heading north on (I-5) and we finally had entered the city of Salem, which is near where the festival was, it must had been around 6pm or so. We did some last minute shopping for the usual stuff like beer, food, smokes and lots of wine, and now were to be entering the festival. After a few miles driving around some twisty roads, we saw this mailbox, which we were suppose to be looking for, and it looked like a regular home and white picket fence right next to it. There were a few people by the fence, the girl that let us in was a really nice outgoing chick, and I starting sensing that the people that were here, were going to be really good peeps…… And they were.
We drove down this road for about 5 minutes or so, on this property, and we starting noticing some cars parked next to the woods. The place was a wooded area and we decided that we were going to drive through the area and scope it out, after about a half hour or so, we found our camp site, near the progressive stage. We had to drive down into the area, which I found out later, we weren’t suppose to, and soon enough we would find out why. The camp site we picked was perfect!! We set up our camp site Mack daddy style, with all the lawn chairs out, tent set up, hammock in place, kitchen area set up, coolers out, torches set up for lighting, air mattresses out, we had a great camp site put together. As soon as we finished, we chilled at our area for a little bit, and shortly after wards our first visitors came to visit us. It was this guy dressed up as a condom I think :p . I don’t know what the hell he was, but to me it looked like a condom. He was friendly, he gave us a gift, a big fat, I mean really fat joint. So that was cool, right off the bat, someone gives us a joint. Kool Beans!!
It started to get a little chilly, Armando and I huddled up on the mattress and the girls shortly after wanted joined in, I guess we looked cozy (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../909169844/ ) (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../909169728/ ). We had lots of fun chillin at the camp site, laughing as usual, wrestling around on the mattress, staying warm and just generally enjoying each other. After a few hours of playing around, we decided it was time to check out the madness. We passed through the progressive area www.flickr.com/photos/103.../924535562/ and which was playing housey music, so we decided to go to the main stage, now we noticed that on Friday night the crowd seemed to be a young crowd. There were a lot of dressed up faeries and nymphs and all sorts of crazy colored aliens. The night was filled with freaks, young freaks. I like the youngens tho, I know many people that don’t but I like pretty much anyone that is having good fun. So we were heading to the main stage and let me tell you, it got frickin cold, so by this time I thought my nuts were about to freeze off. We got to the main area, and as usual, when I hear the mad, insane, twisted dark madness, I get a little koo koo. I immediately submerged myself into the crowd and showed them how we do it in Bolivia. I think the girls were a little surprised to see an Owl like myself, shake his kundulini the way I did. It was fun, I really loved being able to dance to the madness, and get a chance to just release myself. We stayed there for about an hour or so, and we were all beat from driving all day and we decided to get back to the camp area and have the energy we wanted to have for the following day, (I suppose with the older you get you learn to pace yourself :p ) .
We went back to our three man tent, and of course, the laughing began again, and of course, I slept right in the middle of the tent again. It was the warmest spot. I couldn’t help myself :p .
After about an hour of so of sillyness in the tent, we finally went to sleep.
We got up in the morning and decided to move our jeep up above a little bit, where we were suppose to park. So, I have this Jeep Commander pfffff LoL, parked next to us, and we noticed it was slightly muddy where the Jeep Commander was, and as you can guess, we got stuck. The jeep didn’t even have four wheel drive, what self respecting jeep doesn’t have four wheel drive? :p LoL.
So we got stuck….. I think every one in the whole festival came to help us get out of the mud, which btw is a good way to meet people :p . I’m slightly exaggerating, but there must have been 20 people helping us, and I think everyone I met was from Eugene, Oregon, yet none of them are originally from Eugene. Does that make sense? It does when you understand why, apparently people from all over the U.S come to live in Eugene, Oregon. The Eugenians are people of nature, hippies and addicts of anything inspired by entheogens :p .
After about 50 intents of different ideas of how to get the jeep out, finally Mr. Brian and his buddy Jeff helped us pull out the jeep with their truck. It worked, we got out, we thanked everyone and it seemed as if now our camp site was the chill out camp site for the morning. We had met all sorts of wonderful people and chilled for a while. Of course, Mr. Elk prepared a great breakfast again, we ate, spliffed and enjoyed the silence, because by this time, they had turned off the music for the rest of the afternoon.
Now one of the people that we had met, had these interesting little chocolates filled with magical mushrooms and we decided to pick up a few from our new friend. We decided to go for a stroll with our chocolates, and we went into the forest (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../909158756/ ), and walked through for about 10 minutes or so and while we were walking through we shared some delicious chocolate’s with one another, and the Jessica’s wanted to eat their whole piece of chocolate, thank googly that Mr. Owl was holding the chocolates :p. We went on walking for a while then it opened up to an open meadow with a creek that looked like it came straight from a Mark Twain book (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../909158706/ ). Classic!!! It was perfect, we sat down next to the pond, and put our feet into it, it was really refreshing and quite cool. There was a sign at the pond that said (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../922458070/ ) that we found pretty funny.( www.flickr.com/photos/103.../921741585/ It was about this time when every one started to get that magic mooshy feeling. As we were sitting and lying next to the creek three young nymphs approached us. They were really nice and interesting girls and they sat with us for a while and shared a few laughs and by this time, I was really starting to feel things. So, I decided to go walk off into the forest, and seek refuge, after all I am an owl.
Sometimes in the forest, even in the day, it can get pretty dark, and I was able to see the sunrays creeping in, It sort of reminded me of hope at that moment, hope in the aspect that it’s like a glimmer of light breaking on into the darkness, and that glimmer of light provided life amongst the darkness. I felt comfortable and free walking on my own, as I do many times when I feel like mentally traveling. There was a deep connection with the forest, it seemed as if I could hear everything. The flying insects, the wind blowing through the trees, the water flowing through the earth, it was surreal.
So, I continued to walk further in, talking to the trees, as they stood there listening to my words. I shared my thoughts aloud amongst them, and was grateful that they were there. The word peace, rung out into the woods, and it wasn’t spoken by me, but from the forest. I could hear it so clearly, and the feeling was strong within me. Tears began to fall, and a smile broke out. I don’t know if I had ever felt so much peace within me as I did at that moment, and I didn’t want it to end. I took out from my pouch, another piece of chocolate and took another bite.
I sat down on the trail, listening to what the forest had for me to hear. It soothed me, and I concentrated deeply on the things that made me smile. I was thinking about how beautiful of a person my friend Armando is, and how fortunate I was to have him as a friend. I thought about how supporting my family was of me and of everything that I do and that comforted me. I truly felt blessed that day of everything that I had.
After an hour or so of soaking in everything in my surroundings, it hit me…….. My friends!!
My friends, I wanted to see them, so I started walking back, and as I approached the meadow where the creek was, there was Armando, at the entrance of the forest. I was really happy to see him and I couldn’t help but smile again. So we didn’t say anything, there was no need, we just walked out into the field to find our lovely’s. And as we walked back, he hummed a tune that he had just made up. It was one of the most soothing and beautiful hymm’s that I had ever heard. I remember going to the tree (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../922458240/ ) www.flickr.com/photos/103.../909127166/ and laying down on the grass, and it seemed as if the field was filled with hay (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../909108122/ ). As I lie there, he would walk around me in circles, standing over me, humming this tune. He just kept walking and walking and humming and humming. It was so soothing, and I will never forget it. It had left an impact with me and the girls. It was the hymm of the afternoon of the trip…..
The girls were playing (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../909158686/ ) and laughing and you could feel their happiness. Their laughter carried across the field. They looked like young schoolgirls out on recess on a Friday afternoon www.flickr.com/photos/103.../922992571/ . Mr. Elk had appeared again, with his helpful tips :p . There was a lot of laughter that afternoon, there was a lot of great vibes, there was a lot of love.
My senses were in tune with my surroundings, and I felt a deep sense of harmony. All I could do was soak in everything around me. I didn’t want to ruin what I was I feeling with words. Sometimes words have a way of cheapening things.
After a long while of absorbing everything in my ambience, listening to everyone laugh, and just generally feeling good. Mr. Owl decided to make his appearance once again, and everyone was happy to see him and he was happy that he was lucky to have amazing friends in Jessica Rachel , Jessica Suzanne, Liz Eleanor , and his good amigo Armando (. I love you guyz!! (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../909127278/ )
We were living in the moment and we decided we wanted to live a little more and I took the chocolate from my pouch and we shared another piece. (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../909127252/ ) We shared smiles, we shared laughs, we shared wisdom, we shared the best that we had to offer. For me, sharing the best of what we have, is one of the more beautiful things that a person can experience. And it truly was special, the energy and the openness we had with one another.
We sat and lied around the tree soaking in what this day had to offer us. (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../909127312/ )
www.flickr.com/photos/103.../909108122/
It was a good day….
After a while we decided that we wanted to head back to the freaks of the festival, and we said good bye to the lovely tree, meadow and pond. The place of magic….
As we were heading back, walking through the forest, the music started again....
We passed through the chill out area, and into the progressive area, where off to the side of it was this sort of temple of dried out shrubbery , and in the middle of the temple there was (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../924535802/ ), www.flickr.com/photos/103.../924797836/ . Flying around the temple were some beautiful dragonfly’s (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../909127154/ ), and we felt blessed to be able to enjoy so much nature in a single afternoon.
We turned back to our campsite, Armando and Jessica Suzanne served up some yummy grub again, I attempted to help :p . Jessica Rachel was helping as well with a bottle of wine in her hands :p . And Liz, well, Liz helped in everything, she was just a delight to be around with, a very easy going young lady.
Brian and Jeff who had helped us with our Jeep in getting out of the mud earlier in the day, were sitting inside their truck near our campsite, we thought it would be nice to bring them some of the yummies that we had. I walked over to their truck, where they were, with 2 plates in my hand and wanted to let them know of our appreciation. They looked surprised and thanked us with a few molly’s. How nice of them…. We invited them to our campsite to chill with us, before we were to head out to the madness.
We all chilled at our campsite with our two new friends Brian and Jeff, and had a few more laughs before we set out to the progressive stage.
We arrived at the Progressive stage, with our blanket and bottles of wine, and made our nest egg area near and in front of the DJ. The music started off ok, and we danced for a while, and it was getting pretty cold again, so by this time, I was taking some pretty big swigs of wine, trying to warm my ass a little. We took our Molly’s together, and after about an hour or so, we started hitting our groove, and the music was improving.
The music was grooving!! Some good minimal madness was being played, and all of us now were getting into the groove.
I saw Armando talking to this little blonde haired girl. Btw he talks to everyone, like me, :p. So naturally I came up and introduced myself, and this lovely creature’s name is Mandy. Mandy Bliss, oh what a name!! Mandy Bliss, are you serious? And let me tell you something, the name doesn’t do her justice. What a fantastically, amazing interesting person. Full of life and I would say very adventurous and playful person. She brought great energy!!
We had connected immediately, the three of us, Armando, Mandy and myself. We danced for a while, and she grabbed our hands and took us to where we could play with the shadowing, shadowing effects in front of the lights and behind a background. We danced and made figures, and played around for a while, it was lot’s of fun. I thought to myself, how spontaneous this chick is. Armando would comment to me the same, we were pretty impressed with Ms. Mandy, and I could feel the enjoyment that each of us were feeling.
We decided to go to the Main area, where the darkness was being played. Talk about energy. We definitely brought a lot of energy to the dance floor. Mad, Crazy dancing with tremendous energy, behind the pulsating beats. Total mind fucking music, IT ROCKED!! It was great to be able to release the way we did on that dance floor. I was profusely sweating, haha, so I wasn’t cold anymore and that was a good thing.
We danced all over that dance area, playing with each other, hiding behind other people, swinging each other around in circles. It was just a lot of sillyness and craziness, and lots of fun.
We went back to the progressive area, and Epsilon started to play. Epsilon, played an incredible progressive, psychedelic set. We really dug the way he was playing and mixing his tunes. The sun came out, the smiley faces were there shortly after, and now it was daytime fun.
Now, I had mentioned earlier, but through out the night, there were these 2 girls, that we had met, who was constantly giving us weed to smoke. Every time she saw us, she came up to us and would give us a huge hug, and would say, “I love you guyz”. We saw her about 15 times that night, so we received about 15 hugs, and 15 hits of weed from her pipe. Holy Mcshizzy, I was Stoned!!!
After a while, I was so spliffed out, I couldn’t even talk. The only thing I could do was just dance.. Damn them Girls!! :p
But on a more serious note they were great, and EXTREMELY friendly….
The sun was out now for a while, and the music was getting even better, I believe Epsilon was one of the last two dj’s playing and they both played wicked, progressive phat breaks that was sounding just about perfect for me. Every one of us was dancing, and now we were able to see the Freaks www.flickr.com/photos/103.../924535802/ a little bit better because there was light. What a colorful bunch of people and every one seemed to be enjoying themselves. It was a great morning!!
After a few hours more of grooving to the delicious beats my body finally had ran out of gas, and I went off to the campsite to get some shut eye. The girls and Armando stayed a little while longer, I crashed on the air mattress.
By the time I woke up, which was a few hours later, the rain had finally made it’s appearance, and it was perfect, because it was time for us to get packed up and go. Like the good little busy bee’s we are, we packed up everything in record time and headed on out back home.
I felt bad that I wasn’t able to say goodbye to ms. Mandy Bliss, as did Armando, but it was really nice being able to meet her. Luckily we are able to be connected here on Tribe.
What a amazing location and magical memories that I will have of that field out in the meadow on that beautiful afternoon. The feeling that I was able to experience that day will always stay with me and I am lucky to have been able to share it with some of the most beautiful people that I could have been with.
I drove the first few hours back, and after that, I switched up with the girls, and they took turns driving back. What troopers they are . They rock!! All I remember was sleeping in the front seat and stopping at gas stations constantly filling up gas :p .
We made it back to Los Angeles in great time and it was time to say our goodbyes.
That was the last time I have seen them, but I’m sure we will see each other soon.
Symbiosis Festival……
I just feel so fortunate that I can call these wonderful people my friends. Thank you Jessica Rachel www.flickr.com/photos/103.../922458176/ , Jessica Suzanne (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../908904924/ ), Liz Eleanor (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../908327241/ ), Armando amigooo (www.flickr.com/photos/103.../922812109/ ).

Feeling the F/X of the Smile
I have a very simple perspective on life. I believe every person has the right to be happy and enjoy their lives.I am convinced that life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how i react to what happens. And so it is with you...we are in charge of our attitudes.
I believe that shit happens to everyone. It is inevitable, but what seperates us from other people is how we deal with that "shit" or adversity.
Now I have a question for all of you. If I have something to give to you and you refuse to accept it, who does that something belong to?
The sender. Thats right. The person who was trying to give it to you. In the same vein, if someone is trying to give you grief or annoy you, by whatever actions they may be using, if you refuse to accept it, it goes right back to the other person and to illustrate how true this is, think about this: One of the worst things you can do to a person trying to upset you is not to get upset because that only upsets them more, not you!
The power of self-suggestion by deep thinking can be extremely effective in developing a positive mental attitude. It's a scientifically proven fact that thoughts can be turned into things. A persons thoughts create measureable electro magnetic energy levels that in turn create a magnetic force that, when combined with ones actions, help attract the things that we think deeply about. In effect, each of us are living magnets. We radiate thought, energy and attract in our lives what we think about most.
So, if you are thinking of things that make you sad or things that are negative, then this is what most likely will dominate your thoughts and therefore will transpire into negative actions. The same is if you are thinking positive things.
Mental obsessions do have physical manifestations, your body reacts to the thoughts and concerns of the mind. Your thoughts can make you sick or release endorphins which causes elation and good health. An emotionally upset person is more prone to accidents and ill health than an emotionally stable individual.
There are things that we can do to make us happier.... Visualizing positive situations, thinking and speaking well of your own health. Positive self reinforcement, exercising to promote endorphins, enthusiasm and SMILING!!
SMILING has been the best way to develop a positive mental attitude.
Did you know when you frown, sigh or droop your shoulders you trigger a physiological reaction in your body that causes you to actually feel upset?
On the other hand, there have been studies where smiling causes a significant improvement in mood. The theory behind this is that smiling contracts, expands and stimulates the blood vessels in your face increasing the blood flow to the brain.
some scientists would even say that We smile to feel happy, and that we do not smile because we are happy.
Facial expressions and body movement takes place before the feeling of an emotion, not after. For example, when we hear bad news, we put a frown on our face then feel upset. When we hear good news, we smile then feel happy. Anotherwards......We feel the way we think!
In conclusion, we were all put on this earth to help others and enjoy life to its fullest. I believe for me the true meaning of life is the pursuit of joy and happiness.
We just want to be happy!! And one of lifes greatest joys is simply joy itself, which all comes from a Postive mental attitude. Whatever your joy may be, as long as it doesnt hurt others for it.
As far as we know, You only live once. Give it your best... Make your mind up to be happy. Dont let anyone stand in your way! It all starts with being positive. Next time mr. negative comes around or knocking on your door, just remember, nothing anybody or anything can upset you without your permission.
