My Blog

Am learning not to live in the past and to stop trying to control the future. I have always wanted to be in control, so I knew exactly where I stood. Letting go of control is not the same as losing control - that is my lesson.

Yesterday my husband and I, together with my Mum and my Buddhist friend (hopefully soon to become my travelling companion in India/Nepal/Kashmir) went to Sydney for a food fair day. Chinese, Sri Lankan, Malaysian, Singaporean and others were represented. The fun... read more

My Testimonials

July 7, 2008
Susan has always been an extremely understanding, generous and encouraging teacher. She has a real passion for ATS and strives to share her knowledge and love of dance with all her students. I haven't known Susan for very long, but I feel that in the time we have known each other, we have become not only teacher and student, but also dance partners and friends. Thanks Susan...my special friend.xx

Susan is caring, considerate, and passionate to the point it hurts sometimes! She is a wonderful person who is always striving to learn, create, and grow in so many ways. I am fortunate to have her as both a dance partner and a friend. Love you!

Re: Reverse Shimmy (in ATS) Hey Valizan, me neither. I guess I have never been able to speed it up, and so it kind of feels like what other dancers call a variationof a Maya with a smallish step on the first down of a down/up/down sequence on one hip then on the other hip.

Re: Class cards, fixed terms, drop-in (in The Biz of Belly Dance) Anthea, yes, it is a great idea. Pre-pay, roll-call. IThe other thing is if they miss a pre-paid class, can they make it up, or not. How strict are you, or other teachers, with that. I have pre-pay for 5 consecutive classes, but they often sch... read more
