Right now, I'm a student at Mizzou, about to graduate in May with a degree in history. My dream is to write history books and research to my heart's content about the people from the Middle Ages to the Early Modern period. Outside of that, I love to bellydance and hope to teach someday in my own home studio. In addition, I'm a self-professed anime geek. Give me a Sailor Moon episode and I'm good to go. I don't always know where my life is headed, just as long as it stays happy.

Muses in Motion will be dancing at SoCo again as part of their gothic/industrial themed night Friday Nov. 20th. First set starts around 9:30pm, second set around 10:30pm. So come out for all the dark and delicious dancing we have lined up for you!

The other solo is on that account as well. It's frustrating doing improvisation. Sometimes you get it, sometimes you don't. I felt ok last night. But there were times when I kept repeating or wanted to do a move that wasn't lining up. People seemed to like my dances though. I guess that's what matters. But I know I need to do better. I'm excited for Muses in Motion first show tonight. Also super nervous. Not sure how my cane dance will go. Have a few hours beforehand to practice. But so excited! Work needs to be over now. Can't concentrate on it. Blah.

I'm choreographing a new number with a cane for a show in two weeks. To find inspiration, I like to watch videos on youtube. If anyone has any favorite bellydance videos that involve canes in anyway, let me know! Haven't really worked with them much outside of a troupe choreography involving one, so any help is mucho appreciated.

Had a show today and it went well. Gotta love the little girls that come up for participation numbers. Hugs to them all!
I've had either a rehearsal, class, performance, or improvisation hour just about everyday for the past week or two. It's been crazy. I like it and it makes me look forward to doing it more later on. Need to work out what I want to do about the day job. Working at the library is fine for now. But I would like to transition to working at home or on my own eventually (not sure doing what) and dancing as well.
