(blog entry)
I can't really go into too much detail about the job I started last month, but suffice it to say that I'm liking it a lot and it has been a great career move. As I progress, the path to graduate school and professional happiness is becoming ever ...

Disappointing book club meeting
(blog entry)
Today I, unknowingly, wasted an hour of my time attending, what turned out to be a very boring book club meeting. That's too bad because, among other reasons, the book under discussion was one of my favorites, Milan Kundera's "the Unbearable Ligh...

As I progress, the path to graduate school and professional happiness is becoming ever clearer to me. That is a great feeling, especially considering how hard I've had to work in order to get to where I am.

That's too bad because, among other reasons, the book under discussion was one of my favorites, Milan Kundera's "the Unbearable Lightness of Being". I couldn't imagine not having a lively discussion about this book, but apparently, it's possible.

Over the past few weeks I've been enjoying my new-found hobbies such as the Objectivist club as well as the book club both of which I have joined recently. The new year finds me in a perplexing stage in my life, but unlike before, now I welcome the challenge. Goals for the new year include (in random order); workout more often, physically go to my office thereby reducing the amount of time spent working from home, volunteer at a crisis hotline, and work on improving my writing.

Thanksgiving didn't quite go off as planned this year. Nonetheless, it was rescued and a good time was had by all. On Sunday I'm going to my first-ever meeting of the local Objectivism club which promises a discussion on the current state of physics. I'm very excited as this marks the first time since high school that I'll get a chance to debate objectivist epistemology. Reactions to follow...
