Run Forest Run!

My 12 year old is in cross country and his state meet was this past Saturday. There were 65 schools with over 2000 kids in 10 races. He had 262 6th graders in his race and he came in 12th!! I'm a proud momma.
Where's the Light?

Getting darker, up in the black for work. Leaves are falling, the cold is creeping in. Winter is a good time to reflect inward and slow down and sit by a toasty woodstove. BUT, I'm not ready yet. I want more light play. Feast of Lights seems ...

I want more light play. Feast of Lights seems so far away and Rites is untouchable from here. Any thoughts on how to bridge this transition?

I turned 45 today. When I got home from the gym my sister had made supper and my 10 year old son my 7 and 3 year old nephews greeted me with a lip syncing rendition to AC/DC's Hell's Bells. Sawyer played lead air guitar and vocals the 7 year old bass air guitar and the 3 year old drums. The kicker was the 3 year old was using real drums sticks on a cooler and was only wearing a sweater...and a short one at that! I laughed so hard my sides hurt! What a treat!
