I've been here in Grand Rapids for a little over three months, and I am slowly starting to get into the bellydancing scene again. I met Saphira about two months ago at the GVSU Renaissance Festival, and last night I went to see Sarah Mayne (of Garbha Grha; Emma danced as well) and Christine (Na'imah) perform at Mezze. (I also saw Saphira there, though I didn't say hi.)

I had a really good time, and was very impressed by the dancing. I am all agog over Sarah's choreography of veil work.
