We must hang out! I think you and I would have a great time. You are such a kind and sincere person. We should plan on sharing some mom time together discussing all the wonderful things about mommyhood and how we still manage to make time for ourselves (okay wishful thinking on that last comment). You are also a brilliant costumer! I can't wait to see the new QE1 dress. I don't know how you find the time!

Cherie, I remember you the first time we met, when you were in your usual hippy garb, at Discount Fabrics. You have been a joy and a wonder to know, and I'm glad to see you here on tribe. Now all we need is to get together sometime when it's not Dickens, Faire, etc.
And for the rest of you who read this, this lady rules. October 26, 2006
"That Gaskells dress is Beautiful, and the fit is perfect!!... Where did you get it ?? !!!"
"That ren faire bodice is amazing, the best I've seen, where did you get it?!" I've been telling people about Cherie's costuming for YEARS, mostly because people stop and DEMAND that I tell them where I got the gorgeous outfits that she's made for me (my friends know I can't sew). Thank you Cherie! Thank you!

He wasn't supposed to even *live* much less live 11 years. He's had his health problems over the years. He was exposed in-utero to a virus that caused many birth defects. First and foremost, he had massive nerve damage, and could not use his back legs. I gave him lots of physical therapy and re-routed his nerves. He walks almost normally, now. He was also born with a pretty significant heart murmur. It has stayed pretty much stable, but we monitor it. Now h... read more
RIP to a man who gave me MANY a HAPPY (and hippy) experience.
