<div>We still need a sitter for the Wee Bairns(tm) for Friday night!!! We can deliver them anywhere around the immediate Bay Area (North Bay, East Bay, SF, Down to about San Bruno/Pacifica area). We can pay $50!!!!

Please!!! We would really like to see Eddie Izzard. We got these tickets months ago, and then just up until a few days ago, thought we were going to have to sell them for the $. Something good happened, and we didn't have to sell them.

Our regular sitter is having some major Medical Issues right now, and is unable to sit for us.

This is one of the few times in the year when we actually get to go out (away from the kids).

										<div>"So, Rupe-Dawg, do ya?" R said "Yep". Then Rev Larry said, "Cherie, do ya?" I said "Yep". Rev Larry said, all official-like, "Well, then, keep each other laughing!" and we all signed a pretty piece of paper, made some toasts, ate some cake, then had a really cool party with lots of friends and family.

Tailgating at Kathy Griffin

<div>We went to see Kathy Griffin last night at the Concord Pav. Oh, she was ON!!
We started out by sitting in the back of the wagon drinking beer. We were the only ones tailgating. Had a few, went in. Had a while till it started, so we went and found a place to smoke a bowl. Again, the only ones doing it. Left just before Deputy Dawg's arrival.
Found our seats, way down close! AAAK! Teenagers behind us! Screamed "We love you, Tom!" anytime Kathy's male assistant came on stage to set things up. REALLY annoying.
The people in that town frighten me. At least there were plenty of Kathy's Gays around to make me feel more at Home!
An excellent way to celebrate mine and Rupe's 6th wedding anniversary (which is today!). </div>

<div>What a generic, average word.

Just got a call from Pet's Rest Cemetery. They said that Zen's "remains" were ready for pick-up. It just doesn't seem right that such a Sweet, Kind, Beautiful, Wise, and Amazing Being can be reduced to "Remains". I guess that that was just His weak, frail vessel. It is His Spirit that I Love and Worship. And miss...........terribly.</div>

<div>So, we went out to Limentour beach yesterday. When we got there there was a large group of people having a beach party. Cool. They looked like they were Indians (it looked as though some of the women were in festive saris). Whatever. Not exactly my idea of Beachwear, to each their own. We went along and had fun playing in the sand and water. Time to leave, now. As we are leaving we pass that party again. Double-take. A few of the women are actually wearing full-on Burkhas!! We pondered that for a couple of seconds. Then I wondered out loud to Rupert: "I wonder if they get Burkha-tans, ya know, like just across the eyes. Raccoon-style" We giggled about that one. I guess they don't spend so much money on sun block.

I don't know, I just thought it was funny. Had to share.</div>

    </a>
										<div>My heart has been warmed by the out-pouring of Love and Well-Wishes recently from all my Friends.

It really *has* helped!

So has Pearl. She is my little Crossed-Eyed Kitten of the Apocalypse! What a Sweetie! This one is going to be quite the Huntress when she grows up. "Kills" everything in sight. We haven't had a kitten in the house for six years, sometimes I forget how much fun it is to have a kitten.
Kathy came over and gave her her first round of shots and Revolution (parasite treatment)*** yesterday. Three weeks from now, more shots and Revolution, then soon she will be Fixed. We'll have to pay for the spaying, but not for the shots or revolution! It's GOOD to have a good friend who happens to be a Vet (and also is Second-in-Command at Pets Unlimited)!

***Hey, Kaitlyn! Pearl had ear mites, which means that the other two have them. It needs treatment pretty soon. Revolution takes care of ear mites, heart worm, round worm, hook worm, as well as fleas.</div>

    </a>
										<div>That's my new baby's name. She is about 7 weeks old. Got her from Miss Kaitlyn.
Zen's not doing so well. I think that it might be just weeks, maybe less. He has so many things going wrong with his health, right now. It's not just the kidney failure. He has hyper-thyroid, which we were not able to treat because we wanted to get the kidney stuff under control. His kidneys seem to be too far gone. Not only that, but he was born with a pretty loud heart murmur (which has been fine all his life). His teeth are getting bad because of all of this, which I think is affecting his heart.

Saying "Good Bye" to Zen is going to be the hardest thing that I have ever had to do. He is my Soul Mate, and my Heart. Having Pearl is sure going to help ease the transition and the intense grief that I already feel.

OK, it's hard to type through tears and those hiccup-type sobs.</div>

										<div>Zen is 11 years old today.
He wasn't supposed to even *live* much less live 11 years.
He's had his health problems over the years. He was exposed in-utero to a virus that caused many birth defects. First and foremost, he had massive nerve damage, and could not use his back legs. I gave him lots of physical therapy and re-routed his nerves. He walks almost normally, now. He was also born with a pretty significant heart murmur. It has stayed pretty much stable, but we monitor it. Now he is going through renal failure. We are still trying to get a handle on this. He gets his fluids, his special food, his medicines. ($$$$) He is so skinny. He sleeps more. He drinks more. Therefore, he pees more.
He is my Heart. I have been so very blessed to have him in my life for *this* long, I just hope that I can have him for a whole lot longer!!
Anyone who has met him has instantly fallen under his Spell. It is really no wonder that Rupert and I have created a religion around him. It is The Church of Zen Bubbism. He is The Bubba. His full name is Zennasaurus Rex, King of the Benevolent Orange Cats. One strives to be as Serene as The Bubba. To be an Orange Cat is the Pinnacle!!! One needn't even be Orange in colour, or Feline in Species to be an Orange Cat. It is all in the Spirit and the Mind, and especially in the Actions.
Happy Birthday, He Who Always Purrs!!

<div>This REALLY needs to go through.
As a Medical Cannabis User, this means a lot to me and many others. Without it I would not be able to walk, stand, or sit upright. It dulls, or downright eliminates the INTENSE pain that I suffer on an almost CONSTANT basis because of sciatica in both of my legs. I'm Legal in California, but I would like the freedom to travel wherever I want to with my Medication, and not be criminalized.

Washington, DC: US Congressman Barney Frank (D-MA) introduced legislation in Congress Friday to strip the federal government of its authority to arrest responsible adult cannabis consumers. The measure, H.R. 5843, known as an “Act to Remove Federal Penalties for Personal Use of Marijuana by Responsible Adults,” is the first federal decriminalization legislation introduced in 24 years. Frank’s pending bill, co-sponsored by presidential candidate Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX), seeks to eliminate all federal penalties prohibiting the personal use and possession of up to 100 grams (3 1/2 ounces) of marijuana. Under this measure, adults who consume cannabis would no longer face arrest, prison, or even the threat of a civil fine. The bill also eliminates all penalties for the not-for-profit transfers of up to one ounce of pot. All are encouraged to write their representatives in support of this important legislation via NORML’s online advocacy system.

Washington, DC: Representative Ron Paul (R-TX) introduced H.R. 5842, the “Medical Marijuana Patient Protection Act,” earlier today. This bill would make federal authorities respect states’ current laws on medicinal cannabis and end DEA raids on facilities distributing medical marijuana legally under state law. Representative Paul, whose presidential campaign prominently featured the ending of the drug war as a platform plank, was joined by Reps. Barney Frank (D-MA), Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA), Maurice Hinchey (D-NY), and Sam Farr (D-CA) in co-sponsoring this bill. All NORML supporters are strongly encouraged to write their Representatives in favor of this important bill via NORML’s online advocacy system.
