about me
Stories are how I relate to people, they're how I talk. I tell stories about myself, stories about other people, stories people told me, stories that I've gotten out of history books or the news. I tend to identify myself first as a story-teller. Back when I named my self the heir to Talesin's legacy, I was reffering only to my very earnest but not very good attempts at fiction. I've come to understand telling a story as something different since then. Telling stories, I think, tells you the most about the story-teller. Because you not only find out facts about them, about what they like and dislike, where they live, who their people are. But from listening to the stories people tell, you understand what they find funny, what scares them, what they value, what their people are like.
So, this will be a place for stories. Some of mine, some from others. Some in my voice, others not. Let's see what we learn.

I am looking for stories.
I'm in the process of turning this page into something of an oral history project and I would like contributions. If you have something you'd like to contribute please let me know! Tell me a story, repeat an anecdote you tell at parties, tell me how bad the traffic was this morning, something that occurred to you the other week, re-tell a fairy tale you used to like, give me a recipe, something.
Let me lay down a couple of ground rules just to keep this organised and on the up and up.
- If you want to send me something for the project, just send it to me through the Tribe messages.
- Please include express permission (meaning something like "I give Talesin's Daughter permission to post a portion or all of this on her Tribe page")
- Also please let me know if you want to be credited or to remain anonymous. You'll be credited by your Tribe name unless otherwise specified. All requests to remain anonymous WILL BE RESPECTED.
- Please try to keep anything you submit down to about a page typed.
- If we are fortunate enough to have a real life connection, I may be able to record and transcribe a submission. This is great for capturing the real 'voice' of a person. This'll be on a case by case basis, contact me through my Tribe messages.
- Stories will be included in the project at the page owner's (my) discretion.
Thank you for helping!
