My little boys are sometimes my greatest teachers in this life. I'm constantly blown away by the way they've made me a better person. Sometimes it's because of their oblivious perfection, and other times, it's because of the adjustments that I've had to make since they were born.
They remind me that usually schedules are arbitrary, that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, that love should be unconditional and really can fix almost anything, that sometimes we just want to be held and other times we really want to play, that laughter through tears is the most uplifting feeling in the world, that messy food is more fun, that being proud of your accomplishments is good and motivating, that nobody can ever really understand what you've drawn or written until you tell them what it is, that a bath can wash your worries away, and that nobody can function without enough sleep.

I am reading Gnosis of the Cosmic Christ: a Gnostic Christian Kabbalah as an introduction to Gnosticism. I just read that the Kabbalah says: "Think of the holy angels and they will think of you and come to you." and it made me think about what I learned about meditation from Self Realization Fellowship and Paramahansa Yogananda. Meditating on beautiful teachers and spirits makes me feel whole because I receive a part of them and their wisdom just by my intention. I am just starting to learn about Gnosticism and Kabbalah, but am excited to see how it is already fitting in to the small bit of wisdom I have learned so far in my journey with meditation and spirituality.
