Please join me in remembering a great icon of the entertainment communityThe Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71.
Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and Captain Crunch The grave site was piled high with flours.
Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded.
Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes.
Despite being a little flaky at times he still was a crusty old man and was considered a positive roll model for millions.
Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough, two children, John Dough and Jane Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart.
The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.
Birthday fit for a KIng!!!!
Heres a little tidbit for ya..... Today would have been the Kings 72nd birthday! That's right, Elvis Presley would have been 72 today and in recognition of this glorious day the Nixon Presidential library is releasing the tapes of Elviss' visit to the oval office to speak with Ol' Tricky Dick. (you remember..... the visit in which Nixon made that singing pillpopper from Tupelo,MS into the honarary Drug Czar of the United States of America)Do ya think Elvis was dropping off or picking up on that visit?

For those who have not heard yet, Kurts Mother (Daniellas Mother-in-law) Marjorie Alper Schultz went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning. Often simply referred to as Mom by most of you, those who knew her knew a strong woman with an incredible zest for life and all that it had to offer. Hailed by some magazine (somewhere?) as the coolest Grandma around!!A memorial service has been planned for Monday, 6/5/06 @ 11 a.m. to allow friends and family to come together and praise the life of this wonderful and beautiful soul.
The service will be held at Rice University's Hillel Student Center located at 1700 Bissonnet @ Dunleavy. (between Shepard and Montrose on Bissonnet.
All Phamily and friends are invited to attend and their will be an afterservice luncheon at Debby & David Ficks home in Katy immediately following the service. (maps available at the service)
For those unable to attend the Monday service and others that would like to attend both, there will be a "Celebration of life" party to honor Mom in the way she requested to be honored.... with a party at the "Jellyphish Lounge" surrounded by all of the wonderful Phamily that she has met over the years. Stay posted with Tribe.net as we will update new info on this as we confirm it.
