KRZQ and The Battle Born Derby Demons present A'Bout Reno. Two amazing events in one!! This event will be the final concert for the Spring Foward by Paying it Forward series for KRZQ. The three bands that raised the most money for their favorite charities will be playing. EJ Maldonado who raised money for ReStart, Walk Way Alpha who raised money for The Ronald McDonald House and Alldaydrive who raised money for The Crisis Call Center will all be playing when the doors open at 5 p.m. At 7 p.m. the Battle Born Derby Demons take to the track to bout against the San Joaquin Valley Vixens. Come watch the Battle Born Derby Demons defend their undefeated record. Food and beer stand provided by Bully's. Vendors include Reno eNVy and Sex Out Loud Clothing. A portion of all ticket sales will go to support the three charities names above.

Undefeated Much???

Yup that's right the Battle Born Derby Demons are still undefeated!! We took on the Port City Roller Girls on Saturday night and won 119 to 106!!! PCRG put up a good fight and had us on our toes (and on our asses) and made us work for every point!!! Thanks to everyone that came out and supported us. Everyone cheering us on kept us going!!

Thanks for the feedback from our last bout. Because of your suggestions derby girls will have presale tickets available instead of using an online pre-sale system, we have lowered the cost, Reno Skate Supply will soon have presale tickets (I will post this again when they are available), and other great changes that you will just have to come check out for yourself.

I did it, Yay!!!!!!!

After 5 monthes of hard work and tough skating, I'm so happy to say that I've made the ALL-STAR team for the Northern Nevada's Battle Born Derby Demons, so save the date May 19 possibly at the Downtown River Rink AKA old Mape site, we will be going against Utah Davis Derby Dames.

I'm so sad. :(

I feel so sad, that this kinda just hit me.
Last night at Roller Derby practice, we've just found out that our beloved coach Beau Shaver passed away two days ago. He was a light and a natural leader. He graced us with his ambition and charisma, his fearlessness, intelligence, and his warmth.

I don't have all the details, as it is still early but this is the
info I have for events planned in memory of Beau...
-Friday Jan. 12- party on Sinclair street. This is going to be a
block party type event and it was stressed to me that all the Demons
are welcome to come. Just drive down Sinclair Street and you'll see
it.
-Saturday Jan. 13- Satallite bar. I'm sure there will be donation
jars going around and lots of people who would like to see the
league's support. Time? night time.
-Sunday Jan. 14- There is going to be a huge benefit at the Cal
Neva. This will be held in one of the banquet rooms. I don't know
the times and exact room yet, but as soon as I know I will let you
all know.

If anyone would like to make donations at the mortuary it is Mt.
View Mortuary on 4th St.
I'm not sure when the services will be but once again I'll let you
know as I find out.

Thank you all so much for your support. In talking to his family I
realized that Beau wants this league to succeed more than any of us
can possibly understand. So let's do all we can to help them and
then skate as hard as we possibly can to do what he would want us to do.

The Sea of Dreams

So I'm going to San Fran for New years and I'm thinking of costume ideas, llet me know whatcha think.....Ready.....okay......A dead body!!!( floating in the sea of dreams) whatda think???? Okay okay if you don't like that one how about .... picture this, me walking around with cinder blocks(fake of course) on my feet and "Z z z z" above my head and "x's" on my eyes... get it I'll sleeping with the fishes??? Brilliant?!?!?mauahahaha
