I Bribed These People

June 7, 2008
I've had the honor to meet Razia and see her dance for the first time in Brussels last month.. She has a lovely polished style, dazzling shimmies and a fun sense of humor that really shines through in her dance. Razia is the coolest! Hope to meet again soon :)

Spent the weekend with one of my favorite dancers, Razia. She danced at Miz Kitty's Parlour, and rocked the house. She lights up the room the moment she steps on stage and I can't watch enough of this woman's dancing! Fabulous shimmies, beautiful quality of movement and an amazing musicality. I *heart* Razia.

Show-stopper fiery red-head, when she's on stage it dawns on me Oh I forgot to breathe! Unpredictable, yet totally polished, with inspiring stage-presence and a genuine sense of playfulness! Can anyone say drum solo? Boom boom! Razia's technique and mode of self-expression make her a dancer you won't want to miss.

Razia is a very polished dancer, she flows on stage and her presence demands your full attention from the minute she steps on stage and leaves you wanting more after she has left. I love to watch her dance, she is always full of surprises!

My very first belly dance teacher, who knows if I'd have stuck with it if I had taken someone else's class?? She's such an awesome amazing dancer, I guarantee she'll make you laugh during any performance!! Best teacher I've ever had, fun to work with, funny, beautiful, she's just AWESOME!! (did I mention fantastic??)

Blog My Log

Health: needs improvement (got a new illness this weekend--bloatibetestired-itis)
Dexter: intriguing, but wishing for more murder and less character development (plus, his girlfriend is having a baby now--ick!)
Sleep: need it so bad but must finish blog!
Business: laptop is almost here and I haven't been home in 5 days now. Ack, so behind!
Art: feeling inspired but simultaneously blocked up. Massage?
Seattle: the MEAI show was fabulous, the best bellydance show I think I've ever seen! Re... read more

Ohmygod, Dexter season 3 premier is this Sunday! I'm practically pooping myself with excitement, so Portia, you better get some plastic on that couch 'cause you have Showtime and I'm coming over!
On a related note (television, not poo), I just finished the 3rd season of 6 Feet Under and I am very annoyed that I promised Mark I'd wait until I get back to London to go on.
Furthermore: Trueblood--anybody else watching this? Comments? I heart vampires but not the south......I think I'm digging... read more

Having a sister that works at the Sweet Life is too cool, and also too convenient. Especially considering I am still waiting to hear back from my dad on car insurance. Thus, I can't drive yet. Thus, when I go into town, I'm there all day, and a girl's gotta eat, right?

I'm dancing with MEDGE tomorrow night and I'm so stoked. I'm rehearsed, I've got new costumes, new fake hair, new fake nails, and soon, a new fake tan. But the emotion's all real, baby. And thanks to some e... read more

I just ate a bowl of Lucky Charms and it was the most delicious thing I have eaten in my whole life, ever.
I just watched the Season 3 premier for Dexter and I am giddy with excitement. I heart Dexter, I heart him so much. I have a huge crush on him, despite the fact that he exists in fiction. Sorry, Mark. I also heart Portia, for being awesome and for also loving Dexter. And for having Showtime.

Life in Eugene is good. Sunny, warm, green, friendly, familiar--good. Life without Mark is l... read more

We went to Roast in Borough Market last night for our anniversary dinner and it was pretty much the best meal I've ever eaten. Being a spendy restaurant, we expected the portions to be small, but no--they were quite healthy. Thus, we ordered too much food and a massive eat-fest commenced!
I had roast pork belly with bramley apple sauce and mashed potatoes, and Mark had Welsh skirt steak with grilled mushroom and chips. We shared steamed carrots with fresh thyme, a small peach and goat's chee... read more
