My Blog

Two special Jeers tonight: to my hooping mishap (ouch, lip...), hooping in the cold with this many layers on and then trying something new did not work out well, and to the giant list of crap to do in the default world, including overdue school projects, work, home improvement projects, I'd rather be back at martial arts, guitar lessons, and hooping right now!

Burning Man was Burning Man. I was disappointed with the Man burning, not because it wasn't spectacular, and big, and bright, with... read more

The Fourth was a long day of eating, street hockey, bocce, and dancing until 3AM again. Gave a ride home to some guy named Malachi, and I even had my bike rack on so he didn't have to leave it at the club! Sunday? Slept the whole day.

The real reason I'm writing this though?

I just bought my ticket for Burning Man.
See you on the Playa!

Welcome to the 4th of July. 5:30AM. I have a couple hours to sleep, make a dish to pass, head to a friends for Rock Band, and then off to a party. I'm not tired and would like to catch the sunrise since I'm still up.

A long, shiny day.... something very surreal about driving to pick up pizza with two 15 year olds riding in the back of the car, and then cranking Mindless Self Indulgence 'Shut It Up' and driving silly through their housing development, only peeled out once, and having th... read more

I'm tired. It's 4AM, probably the 3rd time in 3 days I've seen this time...

Friday night - I got to see Stolen Bikes at Boulder Coffee, where myself and a couple friends made up nearly 1/2 the audience! Then I swung over to Montage and got there just in time to catch Endever. Lisa from Serenity Falls was there, and she's definitely the social front to the group (at least to me, since she recognized me and remembered my name). So 2 shows, and then off to Tilt for Unicorns vs. Dragons ra... read more

Missed Whirly Wednesday today due to the need to go shopping and pick up some acrylics for a little painting project I got stuck in my head, hope it turns out well, and if it does, pictures later!

Ahhh, what is this, an actual boring night at home, alone, scanning old photos?
I did that last night, but with a few drinks and a scanner that will do 24 pics automatically, DDR called! Alcohol and exercise CAN go great together, if you do it right!

Luckily, as I sat down to read a little m... read more

My Testimonials

September 14, 2009
Ok Ok, so I was hasty in my first testimonial and couldn't express myself clearly....."blame it on the vodka, blame it on the henny ;-)"
So, Blizzard-- yes he is my road husband for sure (although the jury's still out on those paternity results ;-) Blizzard allows you to be whoever or whatever you WANT to be! He knows exactly who he is and he's too stubborn to let your opinions shake his solid foundation. Blizzard is like an old oak tree, he provides shade, rest, and sanctuary to all who seek him out. He is a perfect anchor for all those crazy color-changing leaves that come and go every season. The people, the leaves, the scenery and the wind may all change, but Blizzard will still be there, watching it all happen and silently chuckling to himself....kind of like that weird old man who stares at you from across the room---what is he giggling about..?
I love you Blizz, I always will. Thanks for an amazingly exhaustive cross country extravaganza!!! See you at Fall PDF m'love!
Peace,
C

Blizzard is my road husband....what else can I say? He's solid as a rock, and let's you be who you're truly meant to be. I spent 8...9? days in a car with him and wouldn't trade them in for all the tea in china! Chilicothe, "Misoorie", My back hurts, That's What They Said, and oh so much more! Can't wait to see you at PDF---- wow, it's only been like 2 hours since I saw you last and already I'm waxing poetic....maybe I should put down this corona....
Love ALWAYS,
Colista

P.S. my mom smoked the other Camel WITH ME......WHAT????!!!!
