about me
I'm happily married woman with no kids. (Not planning either.) I want to find new friends, but I'm not desperate about it. I'm not one of those people who collect people around them just for the sake of "growing your network". (My friends list is not really an indication of my likes or dislikes.) I'm looking for friends in other women, and if you want to know why, read this: www.sebastyne.net/forum/index.php As for men, I like the company of socially skilled, happy and confident men. I like men who don't have to question what they should say to a girl (whether they're doing it to get friends or lovers) but know it instinctively, so that they too wonder how some men don't know it.

My recent StumbleUpon favorites

From the page: "Welcome to Whales Revenge, an ambitious campaign to gather 1 million signatures for a petition to stop whaling.

Every year thousands of precious mammals are slaughtered in the name of so-called 'scientific research'.

Add your voice by signing this campaign then forwarding it everyone you know. Please help us stop the killing."

Do you know what love is? Some of these kids have a pretty good idea of what it is:

From the page: ""Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen."

It's an interesting one for sure... Ghost pictures can be photoshopped of course, but why bother when everyone can do it these days - I can. The thing that interests me in this one is that the ghost seems to sit in a wheel chair, but the chair isn't visible in the photo, suggesting that it would be real. It would be too much bother to remove the chair out off the photo as it would not have made any difference really.

The pixels around the face of the ghost are a bit blurred, which would suggest a fake, but the interesting thing is, that once magnified or if you look closely, you can see the outline his face and eyes repeated on the right side of him. Did he move? Why are those pixels there if it's a fake?

Some bad album covers for you... Although there was actually a couple that I liked, and some that can be explained by the time they were made... But there is some serious eye brow raisers, like What The Hell Were You Thinking?! -type.

OMG, this was funny! It could be about Finns - but if she found Swedes to be silent, she would be amazed about us Finns... As.. We think the Swedes are LOUD and OBNOXIOUSLY cheerful! :D

Reading about the Winter War bursts my heart with pride over my country. I can feel the terror my grand parents must have felt, when they were told that the men, sent to a war practice were actually preparing for a war against the most powerful military force on earth. Finland had 30 tanks against Russian 6,541 tanks... Tells you a lot about the odds. Finland lost 26,662 men in battle, but comparing it to the 126,875 men Russia lost... Russian soldiers were led to believe that they can waltz into the country with nobody standing on their way, and they could kill anyone for sport... You can't really blame them for being surprised at the fact our men would utilize all their wit to keep them out of the country. And finally did... Both of my grand fathers were in there... As was every man of the country, and a large amount of women too. And, we would do it all over again if we had to - but God forbid.

An interesting comparison between Google and StumbleUpon. With this hilarious picture:

I think we had one of these at uni. I tried it once, but uh... Not for me. However, it was the first seat to go of all the available places, so I was in the minority.

Some fabulous dog pictures, but I just really really need to ask this: Why do people insist on dressing dogs up in clothing and then insist that it's cute?

Even though SL seems to be in a development state, it's a great environment for teaching and giving presentations if nothing else. Plus the people are the nicest you'll find anywhere, and you'll have fun time turning your tragic newbie character into something more hmm... nice. Although I still walk like a monkey. HELP! :D

Favorite Move fb swap was another Happy_Swapping group swap. There was supposed to be 4, but I forgot to scan the other two. These are numbers 3 and 4.

Needless to tell you which movie it is, but it is Gone With the Wind in case there's some odd person... Like Mir, who hasn't seen the movie. :p

This is another Happy_Swapping swap. I wasn't too happy about these two, but they're okay. This was much of an experiment, and it failed. I will not use photographic paper for decos any more. It just doesn't fit well.

These were made through the Happy_Swapping group here on Yahoo, and the theme was Paradise. To me paradise means Tasmania in Australia... Needless to say more.
