My Recent Activity

spring right around the corner (blog entry) the chickes are laying about 14 eggs a day. worked the garden up a little today to get the dead grass and weeds stired in and breaking down. Ill cut it up good in a few weeks. Potatoes go in feb 15.

Chickens (blog entry) Got some chickens 6 weeks ago. I have just moved them out of the brooder and into there permanent coop. they are here to provide us with eggs and will die only of old age. My wife wont let any of them be cooked.

the girls havent started laying yet but ant day, not that they will start laying in full force until the days get longer. they are forageing in the yard, I suplement thiswith lay ration and bread I get from the bread store for a few dollars for half a pickup truck load. on a sad note my big lab Diesel was shot suposedly by a hunter he lived long enough to go through a few hours of surgery . The search is on for his murderer
