OK, here is the formal stuff first:
Rick Sheridan teaches courses at Butte College, and has also lectured at California State University, Chico, and Stanford University. Rick is also a Ph.D. student at the University of Brighton (UK). He has received awards for both his teaching and his Web design.

Sheridan has also worked as a journalist. His news and feature articles have been published by the St. Petersburg Times, Chicago Sun-Times, Magical Blend, United Press International and several other sources.

Now, the other:
Peak experiences- surfing; whitewater rafting; watched a pro football game with the players on the sidelines (Packers vs. Saints); participated in a firewalk; slam poetry, jogged around the original Olympic stadium in Athens; Greece; sat on three different thrones where English and Greek kings have sat; saw an active volcano- Manna Loa on the Big Island of Hawaii; attended three different Mardi Gras celebrations in New Orleans; produced a weekly radio show in college; traveled to over 15 different countries, mostly in Europe and the Caribbean; visited- Roman Coliseum, Vatican, Acropolis, Houses of Parliament, US Senate, Louvre Museum, British Museum, Swiss Alps, Grand Tetons, Grand Canyon, crop circle, Stonehenge, etc. Wish list- someday to travel on the Orient Express railroad, ancient spice routes, Cairo, Istanbul, Lourdes, Marrakech, Bali, Fiji, Thailand, Tibet, Rio de Janeiro, etc. To see a condor, grizzly, whale, exorcism, ride a motorcycle on Highway 1 in California.
