Very sad!
(blog entry)
I'm really enjoying my new job, but I'm sad about the things I have to give up in order to work the night shift....namely belly dance. I just don't know of any daytime classes in my area. I really want to stick to tribal. I can take a class ove...

2 days down!
(blog entry)
Well I had my first two work days as a vet tech. What a busy weekend it was. We had two foxtail cases, one dog that ate three sheets of ant bait, 6 baits per sheet. A c-section of an english bulldog, she had 7 puppies. A recent spay that tore ...

Well the ball is rolling and picking up speed. I had an interview on Friday, got offered a new job on Monday, accepted it Tuesday, then gave my 2 weeks notice the same day. It's been quite a whirlwind, but I'm very excited to get started with my...

How true it is. While I have been sending out my resume to just about anyone I can, I haven't heard anything back. I had one interview more than a month ago, but it didn't pan out. Now here I am with two prospects, two interviews, both calling ...

I really want to stick to tribal. I can take a class over the summer, but as soon as classes start back up in the fall, I will be dance-less. *sigh* what a bummer!

A c-section of an english bulldog, she had 7 puppies. A recent spay that tore her internal sutures. A border collie with Nystagmus (meaning her eyes dart back and forth uncontrollably and she's dizzy, staggers a little when she walks). A 2 month old kitty that wasn't walking (there were no broken bones, so maybe just soft ti...

It's been quite a whirlwind, but I'm very excited to get started with my new life as a Veterinary Technician. For the next two weeks I'll be basically working 7 days a weeks. Training Sat and Sun and working my current job, not to mention next week is finals. Yipee!
I keep thinking of all the money I will be saving...

The first interview is tonight at 6. I would be working nights in an Emergency Animal Hospital. The hours would be good, I'd get to see my husband a little more frequently (it's weekends only now) and it's really really clo...

Ok, it's mostly official, we are switching to a vegetarian lifestyle. I decided to do this after reading Skinny Bitch and being horrified by the practices of factory farms and slaughterhouses. But I didn't take the book at face value, I also searched the net and found that they weren't just trying to scare me away from meat, they were right, it is disgusting and we don't need to eat it to be healthy (like all the mouthpieces try to tell you).
My husband (an avid meat-eater) is tagging al...
