Hopefully you havent come up yet, but if you have, I hope your stay was wonderful. NYC and cheap really dont go in the same sentance. Maybe look around outside the city, talk to some folk on tribe who live in the city for places to avoid. couch route: couchsurfers.net or something to that effect. maybe .com? or in a pinch, i'm about an hour away from the city, and 15 minutes from a train that'll take you there. i'll put you up if need be. just let me know

If you can find a *small* budget, this place is RAD. www.hotelqt.com/Even in you don't stay there, be sure to check out the swim-up *bar* and sauna. Yep - a heated indoor swimming pool with a full bar that actually had reasonably priced drinks. When I say "reasonably priced" I do mean by NYC standards. But, seriously, it's a scene you just can't beat. Nothing better than a sauna and a drink after yoga. And, if you can believe it: it was not crowded. (!!!) |
