Shee gives good read.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,
The only reason we don't open our hearts and minds to other people is that they trigger confusion in us that we don't feel brave enough or sane enough to deal with. To the degree that we look clearly and compassionately at ourselves, we feel confident and fearless about looking into someone else's eyes. Location

When I first discovered the Tribe sites, Melissa and her Tribe "Personal Best" caught my attention. Even though it's cyber-space and words and pictures on a computer screen, it's amazing how much personality comes wafting through. Melissa has always come across as very special.
I don't really understand it. She has taken time to write me friendly, upbeat notes and comment on things I've written. And she's also constructed an amazing profile page: a feast for the eyes and mind. I can only imagine what great conversation an afternoon coffee or dinner with her would generate. Thanks Melissa for being such a quality human being (and putting up with my taxing sense of humor). Chaste hugs and affection, a/l August 4, 2008
My Sugarbritches......

Melissa is one of my favorite people on Tribe. Smart, very very funny, doesn't take herself too seriously, and as down to earth as a person can be. I'm very proud and fortunate to call Melissa my friend. Oh yeah, she's also cool as mud! :D

I spent the evening with my benefactor; my teacher, my shaman.

He is an Hablador. A Storyteller. A very rare type of shaman who heals with words, and the spaces between words, and the spaces between us and our shadows and our light. I can feel that I am still not completely back from this Space, this non-ordinary reality. The Dreaming. Walking Between Worlds. These words and this cadence are not mine. They are from the ancestors; passed down through energy and breath and laughter and tears... read more
Einstein was quoted as saying, "There are two kinds of people in the world; those for whom everything is a miracle, and those for whom nothing is."

For the first time in a very long time, I look around me and see little miracles everywhere. Synchronicities. Blessings. My chakras have unclenched along with my jaw. There is light all around me, even in the darkness. I am filled with warmth and the knowledge that All Will Be Well, as a friend of mine kept reminding me when I was sick recently.... read more
I hate a song that makes you think that you are not any good. I hate a song that makes you think that you are just born to lose. Bound to lose. No good to nobody. No good for nothing. Because you are too old or too young or too fat or too slim, too ugly or too this or too that. Songs that run you down or poke fun at you on account of your bad luck or hard traveling. I am out to fight those songs to my very last breath of air and my last drop of blood. I am out to sing songs that will prove to...

Maybe it's due to the renewal process that is Springtime.

Maybe it's simply the Cold Shower I have been avoiding. Anyway, I did it. Finally. I have packed up my stilettos and twirly party dresses and sporty resort wear. I finally shot the clothes horse. It all went to Goodwill today. I thought that hanging on to clothes from happier, pain-free days would act as an incentive to get better. I thought planning trips to exotic and tropical places would act as an incentive to get better. ... read more

I can't send messages or post to tribes, and I'm not getting the notices that new things have been posted on my favorite tribes. I hope this posts so you guys will know that the zombies didn't get me!
"In ALL that is in the world dwell Holy Sparks, no thing is empty of them. In the actions of men also -- indeed, even in the sins that a man does -- dwell Holy Sparks of the Glory of God waiting to be liberated by man and raised by him to the Higher World." -- The Ba'al Shem Tov
And jesus was a sailor
She stands at the cross-roads of three roads...that's where you'll find the entrance to her realm. She is always there during both the full and especially the dark moon to open and close the gateway from here to there and back again (hopefully). Her secret nature is that she is very kind and generous. Should you meet her on your path, standing ... at the crossroads, you should count yourself lucky. However, never let on that you know or even suspect what I'm telling you here (about her secret nature) or you could be in for quite a shock--since she protects her gentle spirit behind a mask which is both hideous and terrifying. And to make matters even worse, the mask is itself alive and sentient as well as very deadly--and tailored to the individual. Respect this mask, but don't believe in it...for just behind it is a beauty that would break your heart, and I mean literally...
If You Don't Stop That
Oh soul,
I ask you to sacrifice nothing at mine altar; I am the God who giveth all.
