 Tuesday, July 29, 2008 Fundraiser - Looking for help Sudanese Girl Orig. Oil Painting by Enzie Shahmiri Dear friends and visitors! I painted a little Sudanese girl at a feeding center in Darfur for an online auction organized through the United Nations UNHCR. Unfortunately the auction never took place and Ms. Caitlin Van Orden (Development Assistant - USA for UNHCR)suggested I raise funds by auctioning off the painting myself on Ebay. Now Ebay shoppers are usually looking for a bargain and I am trying to raise funds for people in dire need of assistance. At first I did not like this idea at all, but then I thought maybe if enough people knew about the auction and helped me spread the word, there is something that can be done. This is a request for your help! The auction will take place on October 1st, 2008 on Ebay through Mission Fish and will run for approx. 10 days.
