April screwup: Self Discipline and Remote Control; Solo and Remote Play, Saturday, April 11th, 2009

screwup: BDSM for trans people, genderqueers and their friends, presents...

April's screwup:
Self Discipline and Remote Control: Solo and Remote Play

New Day and Time!
Saturday, April 11, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
Femina Potens, 2199 Market Street (at Sanchez Street), San Francisco

Whether you are too busy to meet in person, thousands of miles apart, or prefer to avoid the risks of in person play, remote play is a great way to create or maintain a hot connection. Solo play is a great way to practice techniques in a low pressure situation, learn your own responses, and show yourself a good time. They can be substitutes for playing with a lover you can touch, a safer sex alternative a, chance to try an edgy fantasy, or just another way to enjoy yourself. Playing alone and playing across distance both require imagination, attention to detail, and safety precautions that are different than an in person playdate. We'll discuss and in some cases demonstrate:

-Preparation and negotiation
-Safety concerns
-Ideas for enhancing connection
-Realtime long distance play: Phone sex, IM, text messages,
-Dirty long distance gifts: Email, letters, postcards, photos, video, packages
-Topping or dominating yourself
-And more!

B/T (aka Bequi) has been topping themselves for over 8 years and practicing remote play regularly for the last year. They have played privately for most of their sexual life and worked as a BDSM professional for 5 years. B/T has taught/facilitated screwup programs on disability and kink, rope bondage, and gender role play.

March screwup: Wild Rope, NEW DAY AND TIME 3/14/09, Femina Potens

March screwup

screwup: BDSM for trans people, genderqueers and their friends, presents...

Wild Rope - Bondage Techniques from the Great Outdoors!

New Day and Time!
Saturday, March 14, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
Femina Potens, 2199 Market Street (at Sanchez Street), San Francisco

with Rae

Rae will be offering this hand-on demo of wilderness rescue and all of it's delightfully kinky applications.

Wilderness rescue has it all – from simple restraints for individual body parts to full-body immobilization and suspension techniques, wilderness rescue techniques are perfect for kink. The goals in "packaging" a patient for evacuation match with our goals for play – immobilize part or all of a body; maintain use of or access to other body parts; package the person tightly enough that they can't move (or escape); and maintain circulation and comfort while keeping the bondage in place for hours on end. Rescue mixes rope and medical play and gives great opportunities for gear improvisation, humor, water sports, suspension, group scenes, and, of course, outdoors play.

Come learn, hands-on.

Screwup: Bending the Bottom: gender flex in BDSM play

Screwup presents: Bending the Bottom: gender flex in BDSM play

Friday, January 9th, 2009 from 7:00 to 9:30 PM Femina Potens, 2199 Market Street (at Sanchez Street), San Francisco

Does your gender presentation vary by the roles that you play in BDSM?

Are you a boy top and and a fierce femme bottom?

Have you ever surprised yourself or others with a gendered bottom identity?

Do you ever feel drawn to play in gender(s) outside of your usual comfort zones?

Then this is the Screwup for you!

Timnah will be presenting about playing with bottom spaces, and how that can intersect with gender expectations, perceptions, and presentations. Leading with her own experiences of playing in different bottom spaces - gendered and not - Timnah will facilitate a discussion about bottoming and gender expression.

If time allows, we may expand the discussion to include how switches and tops experience this as well. Discussion is open to everyone open to learning and sharing on these topics.

screwup is for trans people, genderqueers, and our friends. This event is open to all genders and will be held at Femina Potens gallery. Folks sometimes go out for coffee or food afterwards, so come prepared...

Femina Potens is wheelchair accessible, however the single gender-neutral bathroom is not. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause, and are looking for an accessible restroom in the vicinity.

$0-5 donation will be accepted to cover the cost of supplies and flyers. No one turned away.

Spread the word by downloading, printing, and distributing flyers.

Friday, December 14, 2007 from 7:00 to 9:30 PM
New College of California in San Francisco, Room 22 (2nd Floor), 766 Valencia Street (near 18th Street), San Francisco

with Micah Riot (casually) and anyone else who wants to show their artsy skills

This will be a laid back night to skillshare, talk, laugh, exchange ideas and get to know each other even better.

Micah Riot is going to show how to make duct tape floggers, so bring duct tape. There are not very many things out there that one could not make out of duct tape. Always a good thing to have on hand to waste a couple of hours. He may also show how to make TRANNY DOLLS and fun sensation toys out of Fimo clay. Since upon completion of their molding they have to be burned to get hard and more permanent, bring a container for the Fimo parts to get home safe to your oven.

Here is a list of things you can bring that may be fun to play with:
- Duct tape
- Fimo clay
- Scissors
- Packing tape
- Scraps of cloth
- Needles and thread
- Stuffing/cotton balls from a dollar store
- Magazines
- Adhesives
- Markers
- Cloth dye markers
- Your old estrogen and testosterone vials (once I have enough I will make an art piece out of mine)

...or anything else that you can think you may be able to use creatively and with kink on your mind.

Some supplies will be brought. If you want something specific and you can't afford it, ask us, we may be able to get some of it with the screwup fund money.

Come again, or for the first time. Enjoy. Participate. Hope to see you there!

Screwup is for trannies, genderqueers, and our friends. This event is open to all genders and will be held in Room 22 at the New College of California. Folks sometimes go out for coffee or food afterwards, so come prepared...

screwup:GenderQueer Bondage: Rope for People "Between"!

screwup: BDSM for trannies, genderqueers and their friends, presents...

GenderQueer Bondage: Rope for People “Between” !

by Lee “Bridgett” Harrington

Sunday, February 25, 2007, from 7:00 to 9:30 PM
Femina Potens, 465 South Van Ness Avenue (at 16th Street), San Francisco

Have you ever struggled with the "how" of putting a crotch rope on a woman with a little something extra? Tried tying up a transman who wanted chest bondage that didn’t make him look like a girl? Perhaps you just want to explore some hot ways to tie up your lovers to make them feel androgynous and exposed? Then this class is for you. We’ll be exploring crotch ropes and strap-on harnesses, alternative forms of chest and torso bondage (to emphasize and deemphasize curves), and looking at a few other ties that can make your partner feel emphasized into whatever gender or otherness we see ourselves as. Bring two or more pieces of rope, 25-30 feet in length, for hands-on fun and exploration in this class for “the rest of us”

Lee “Bridgett” Harrington is an eclectic performance artist, artist, model, spiritual and erotic educator, gender radical and author of "Shibari You Can Use: Japanese Rope Bondage and Erotic Macramé". Well known for hir fun and informative approach to education, ze approaches sexuality as yet another art to master, or simply an art to enjoy to its fullest! Ze has been an active part of the international kink and sex positive communities for over 11 years, and hir stories make people laugh while showing you that eroticism can be as serious, sexy, or silly as you make it. Bridgett's writings and photography have appeared in numerous anthologies including "Dark Moon Rising: Pagan BDSM and the Ordeal Path", and hir image has been seen everywhere from PlayBoy TV to the pages of Skin Two Magazine.

screwup is for trannies, genderqueers, and our friends. This event is open to all genders and will be held at the Femin Potens. Folks sometimes go out for coffee or food afterwards, so come prepared...

October screwup

screwup: BDSM for trannies, genderqueers and their friends, presents...

Everyday kink!

Friday,October 13, 2006 from 7:00 to 9:30 PM
New College of California in San Francisco, Room 22 (2nd Floor),
766 Valencia Street (near 18th Street), San Francisco

A free-for-all interactive discussion on how perverts pervert the everyday:

1) When you are preparing an evening meal at home, are you cooking up more than food? Are you trying to figure out how that battery operated milk-foamer could be used outside of the coffee cup?
2) Do you identify as kink whether or not you’re in a scene? How does that present itself in the everyday?
3) Do your commonplace interactions with the larger world feed your kink? Does you kink feed the larger world?
4) How do you find/incorporate your kink in everyday activities (and the other way around)?

If any of these questions (plus many more) strikes your fancy, come on and join us for a fun-loving interactive get-together. There will be games :) Please bring one or more common everyday seemingly innocent items with you!

screwup is for trannies, genderqueers, and our friends. This event is open to all genders and orientations and will be held in Room 22 at the New College of California. Folks almost always go out for coffee or food afterwards, so come prepared... Everyone is welcome for the socializing and food parts, too!

$0-5 donation will be accepted to cover the cost of supplies and presenter materials/expenses. No one turned away or pressured to pay. The New College of California is wheelchair accessible and has gender-neutral bathrooms!

Spread the word by creating, printing, and distributing flyers, telling friends who might be interested, or reposting this announcement where appropriate.
