April's screwup:
Self Discipline and Remote Control: Solo and Remote Play

New Day and Time!
Saturday, April 11, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
Femina Potens, 2199 Market Street (at Sanchez Street), San Francisco

Whether you are too busy to meet in person, thousands of miles apart, or prefer to avoid the risks of in person play, remote play is a great way to create or maintain a hot connection. Solo play is a great way to practice techniques in a low pressure situation, learn your own responses, and show yourself a good time. They can be substitutes for playing with a lover you can touch, a safer sex alternative a, chance to try an edgy fantasy, or just another way to enjoy yourself. Playing alone and playing across distance both require imagination, attention to detail, and safety precautions that are different than an in person playdate. We'll discuss and in some cases demonstrate:

-Preparation and negotiation
-Safety concerns
-Ideas for enhancing connection
-Realtime long distance play: Phone sex, IM, text messages,
-Dirty long distance gifts: Email, letters, postcards, photos, video, packages
-Topping or dominating yourself
-And more!

B/T (aka Bequi) has been topping themselves for over 8 years and practicing remote play regularly for the last year. They have played privately for most of their sexual life and worked as a BDSM professional for 5 years. B/T has taught/facilitated screwup programs on disability and kink, rope bondage, and gender role play.

Screwup is for trans people, genderqueers, and our friends. This event is open to all genders and will be held at Femina Potens . Folks sometimes go out for coffee or food afterwards, so come prepared...

$0-5 donation will be accepted to cover the cost of space and supplies. No one turned away. Femina Potens's space is wheelchair accessible but the bathrooms are not.

Wild Rope - Bondage Techniques from the Great Outdoors!

New Day and Time!
Saturday, March 14, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
Femina Potens, 2199 Market Street (at Sanchez Street), San Francisco

with Rae

Rae will be offering this hand-on demo of wilderness rescue and all of it's delightfully kinky applications.

Wilderness rescue has it all – from simple restraints for individual body parts to full-body immobilization and suspension techniques, wilderness rescue techniques are perfect for kink. The goals in "packaging" a patient for evacuation match with our goals for play – immobilize part or all of a body; maintain use of or access to other body parts; package the person tightly enough that they can't move (or escape); and maintain circulation and comfort while keeping the bondage in place for hours on end. Rescue mixes rope and medical play and gives great opportunities for gear improvisation, humor, water sports, suspension, group scenes, and, of course, outdoors play.

Come learn, hands-on.

Screwup is for trans people, genderqueers, and our friends. This event is open to all genders and will be held at Femina Potens . Folks sometimes go out for coffee or food afterwards, so come prepared...

<div>Screwup presents: Bending the Bottom: gender flex in BDSM play

Friday, January 9th, 2009 from 7:00 to 9:30 PM Femina Potens, 2199 Market Street (at Sanchez Street), San Francisco

Does your gender presentation vary by the roles that you play in BDSM?

Are you a boy top and and a fierce femme bottom?

Have you ever surprised yourself or others with a gendered bottom identity?

Do you ever feel drawn to play in gender(s) outside of your usual comfort zones?

Then this is the Screwup for you!

Timnah will be presenting about playing with bottom spaces, and how that can intersect with gender expectations, perceptions, and presentations. Leading with her own experiences of playing in different bottom spaces - gendered and not - Timnah will facilitate a discussion about bottoming and gender expression.

If time allows, we may expand the discussion to include how switches and tops experience this as well. Discussion is open to everyone open to learning and sharing on these topics.

screwup is for trans people, genderqueers, and our friends. This event is open to all genders and will be held at Femina Potens gallery. Folks sometimes go out for coffee or food afterwards, so come prepared...

Femina Potens is wheelchair accessible, however the single gender-neutral bathroom is not. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause, and are looking for an accessible restroom in the vicinity.

$0-5 donation will be accepted to cover the cost of supplies and flyers. No one turned away.

Spread the word by downloading, printing, and distributing flyers.

Please contact screwup@screwup.info if you'd like us to arrange for an ASL interpreter, to get involved, make suggestions or with any other requests.

Kinky crafts!

Friday, December 14, 2007 from 7:00 to 9:30 PM
New College of California in San Francisco, Room 22 (2nd Floor), 766 Valencia Street (near 18th Street), San Francisco

with Micah Riot (casually) and anyone else who wants to show their artsy skills

This will be a laid back night to skillshare, talk, laugh, exchange ideas and get to know each other even better.

Micah Riot is going to show how to make duct tape floggers, so bring duct tape. There are not very many things out there that one could not make out of duct tape. Always a good thing to have on hand to waste a couple of hours. He may also show how to make TRANNY DOLLS and fun sensation toys out of Fimo clay. Since upon completion of their molding they have to be burned to get hard and more permanent, bring a container for the Fimo parts to get home safe to your oven.

Here is a list of things you can bring that may be fun to play with:
- Duct tape
- Fimo clay
- Scissors
- Packing tape
- Scraps of cloth
- Needles and thread
- Stuffing/cotton balls from a dollar store
- Magazines
- Adhesives
- Markers
- Cloth dye markers
- Your old estrogen and testosterone vials (once I have enough I will make an art piece out of mine)

...or anything else that you can think you may be able to use creatively and with kink on your mind.

Some supplies will be brought. If you want something specific and you can't afford it, ask us, we may be able to get some of it with the screwup fund money.

Come again, or for the first time. Enjoy. Participate. Hope to see you there!

Screwup is for trannies, genderqueers, and our friends. This event is open to all genders and will be held in Room 22 at the New College of California. Folks sometimes go out for coffee or food afterwards, so come prepared...

GenderQueer Bondage: Rope for People “Between” !

by Lee “Bridgett” Harrington

Sunday, February 25, 2007, from 7:00 to 9:30 PM
Femina Potens, 465 South Van Ness Avenue (at 16th Street), San Francisco

Have you ever struggled with the "how" of putting a crotch rope on a woman with a little something extra? Tried tying up a transman who wanted chest bondage that didn’t make him look like a girl? Perhaps you just want to explore some hot ways to tie up your lovers to make them feel androgynous and exposed? Then this class is for you. We’ll be exploring crotch ropes and strap-on harnesses, alternative forms of chest and torso bondage (to emphasize and deemphasize curves), and looking at a few other ties that can make your partner feel emphasized into whatever gender or otherness we see ourselves as. Bring two or more pieces of rope, 25-30 feet in length, for hands-on fun and exploration in this class for “the rest of us”

Lee “Bridgett” Harrington is an eclectic performance artist, artist, model, spiritual and erotic educator, gender radical and author of "Shibari You Can Use: Japanese Rope Bondage and Erotic Macramé". Well known for hir fun and informative approach to education, ze approaches sexuality as yet another art to master, or simply an art to enjoy to its fullest! Ze has been an active part of the international kink and sex positive communities for over 11 years, and hir stories make people laugh while showing you that eroticism can be as serious, sexy, or silly as you make it. Bridgett's writings and photography have appeared in numerous anthologies including "Dark Moon Rising: Pagan BDSM and the Ordeal Path", and hir image has been seen everywhere from PlayBoy TV to the pages of Skin Two Magazine.

A free-for-all interactive discussion on how perverts pervert the everyday:

1) When you are preparing an evening meal at home, are you cooking up more than food? Are you trying to figure out how that battery operated milk-foamer could be used outside of the coffee cup?
2) Do you identify as kink whether or not you’re in a scene? How does that present itself in the everyday?
3) Do your commonplace interactions with the larger world feed your kink? Does you kink feed the larger world?
4) How do you find/incorporate your kink in everyday activities (and the other way around)?

If any of these questions (plus many more) strikes your fancy, come on and join us for a fun-loving interactive get-together. There will be games :) Please bring one or more common everyday seemingly innocent items with you!

screwup is for trannies, genderqueers, and our friends. This event is open to all genders and orientations and will be held in Room 22 at the New College of California. Silly Perversions: Wacky scenes and other ways to incorporate humor in your kink.

Friday, September 8th, 2006 from 7:00 to 9:30 PM
New College of California in San Francisco, Room 22 (2nd Floor)
766 Valencia Street (near 18th Street), San Francisco

Laughter is something that is not heard very often in dungeons and play spaces. There are some kinksters for whom a good case of the sillies has made their most memorable scenes. Age play, sploshing and clown scenes are but three of the many aspects of play where humor can be used to great effect.

Please join us for an evening of discussion, exploration and idea sharing about how to bring humor into your kink-o-sphere. Participants are encouraged to bring memories of and ideas for silly scenes, pictures of past silly scenes (if you have consent of all people in the photos to share them with the group and you were one of the participants), and small props for idea sharing.

This discussion will be moderated by Phoebe. Phoebe enjoys instigating laughter with her play. She will be bringing stories from past scenes and some pictures to share.

Disabilities and Kink with –Jen &amp; Bequi

Friday, July 14th, 2006 from 7:00 to 9:30 PM
New College of California in San Francisco, Room 22 (2nd Floor)
766 Valencia Street (near 18th Street), San Francisco

Bequi and Jen are hosting a discussion on BDSM with disabilities. We will be talking about ways to modify, or rethink play to work with disabled bodies using body positioning and restraints, toys, communication, and more. We will discuss and/or demonstrate ways to play from top or bottom without injuring ourselves in the process.

Come ready to share your experiences and learn from the experiences of others. Let's try to answer from our own experiences all those embarassing questions we’ve been afraid to ask about playing with a person with a disability. This will be a great discussion for anyone who has an injury or disability, who plays with someone who does, or who simply wants to learn more about disability in the kink community.

Clips, Clamps, Clothespins, and Zippers! with -robin

Friday, May 12, 2006 from 7:00 to 9:30 PM
New College of California in San Francisco, Room 22 (2nd Floor)

-robin says:
Some of my favorite things are clamps, clips, zippers and especially clothespins. The wide variety of sensations and decorative activities that are possible make them lots of fun. They are also something anyone can play with, from the complete novice to the long time very experienced player. They're also a very cheap DIY toy that can give hours of fun!

I will be showing a variety of clips, talk about where they can best be found or purchased, and demonstating their use on a wide variety of body parts, including genitals. I will also display the construction of a zipper or two and there will be some equipment available for people to try out some of the activities for themselves. I will talk about modifying clothespins to make them more or less evil and decorating them to make your sweet canvas look more lovely or more scary. I may want volunteers from the audience and there will be a chance for folks to experience some of this for themselves if they wish, so please wear something that will allow access to at least some flesh, arms and legs are fine if yer shy.

Clips, etc, can also be used for predicament situations and I will explain a few ways and hope that this evening will be a chance for attendees to also share their own decorative or sadistic ways they like to use these fun and versatile toys. Please bring whatever you have.

Hypnosis, NLP, Mind Control, and working a room!

by Tala Brandeis

Friday,April 14, 2006 from 7:00 to 9:30 PM
New College of California in San Francisco, Room 22 (2nd Floor), 766 Valencia Street (near 18th Street), San Francisco

So, you always wanted to control others actions and behaviours, especially in scene and/or during a great flogging... Now you can... if you nose what I mean, really mean... or not. It's interesting and delightful just what you can achieve during a good mind fuck as well as during a fabulous negotiation, but you knew that, didn't you...

Tala Brandeis will be presenting a workshop on Hypnosis, NLP, Mind Control, and working a room. Basically how to get others to do what they really want to do anyway by understanding and knowing at an unconscius level if/when/how they will actualize the behavior you are after.

We'll look at eye-accessing ques and other subliminal behavior as confirmation indicators of conversational postulates. The mind can be viewed as a programming system which works at the digitala and macro levels simultaneously.

We'll discover which representational systems are dominant in which people and how they can be identified with precision and what can be done to manipulate those systems for the benefit of the bottom and/or the top.

Humans manipulate their environments including the consciousness of others and themselves. We'll discuss issues of identifying, maintaining, and developing an healthy ecology of mind-body awareness and expectation of improvement if you really want to. See hear, this is important and necessary information even, or especially, when it brings a whiff of quiff to your attention. So to speak...

We'll discuss and demonstrate the implementation of "demon" programs for use in particular states and for specific purposes. (Call them goddess, god or angel/angle programs if that makes you more comfortable. Ya know, get in touch with your higher power... literally)

Tala has been a working certified master and clinical hypnotherapist since the late eighties and has been trained and certified in NLP and DHE which she incorporated into her practice as a clinical hypnotherapist and generator of change. Tala has worked with Richard Bandler
and other notables in the NLP/Hypnosis community and considers herself much more the hypnotist than the "programmer." She prefers the Eriksonian/Bateson/Grinder model above the NLP canon. All this will be discussed in greater depth during the presentation which she guarantees will have an impact on all the participants...

New College of California in San Francisco, Room 22 (2nd Floor), 777 Valencia Street (near 18th Street), San Francisco

At a time when our nation is determined to keep us on the warpath what better time to raise or voices against intolerance, hatred and violence? At a time when our government propels us into a new dark age of fascism, what better time to talk about radical love, or the right to love who we want, who we want and as many as we want? Loving openly and freely in these times, weather you are straight or queer is a brave political act. We have been conditioned by outdated social norms that limit our perceptions and shackle us to unhealthy cycles of dissatisfying relationships. Yet we also live in a time when we can choose our gender and redefine our sexual identities. Don't we then have the right to decide what kind of relationship best suits our lifestyle? Declare yourself a revolutionary of the heart. Find out how you can expand your potential to love, transform your lifestyle and together we can threaten the social forces of patriarchy!

<div>Screwup is going to be having a big huge party on the Saturday of Folsom Weekend.

It's going to be on the 2nd Floor of the Center For Sex And Culture at 11th and Harrison.

It starts at 8pm and ends at 2am.

there is a suggested donation of $5-$15, but no one should feel uncomfortable coming in free since no-one will be unwelcome due to lack of funds.

We still need tons of volunteers.

We need folks to help do set-up and clean-up. People with cars, vans, and trucks to transport equipment, supplies, and whatnots. People who are friendly and personable and able to talk to people for coat check. People who are good at introducing people and making people feel welcome for hosts and ambassadors. People who can hand out flyers. People who can publicize to your friends and the groups you are part of. People to help with decorations and props.

Please join the volunteers yahoogroup at screwupvolunteers-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

or can contact the volunteer co-ordinator at volunteers@screwup.info

if you just wanna come to the party please RSVP to rsvp@screwup.info </div>

<div>screwup: BDSM for trannies, genderqueers and their friends, presents...

**Putting It Out There**
-a guided discussion on public sex including stories, tips, &amp; pointers-

Friday, August 12, 2005 from 7:00pm to 9:30pm
New College of California in San Francisco
Room #11A
766 Valencia Street (between 18th &amp;19th)

Do you have a particularly hot or funny or insightful or embarrassing story to share about public sex? This IS the time to kiss and tell!

some of the the things we'll touch on in the discussion may be:

How do we define public sex? Where are some good spots around the SF area? What if you get caught? (Caught by whom? What are your legal rights?) Are there additional issues (concerns or pleasures) for trannies and/or genderqueers? How do you negotiate with a stranger for sex in public? We'll also be sharing tips for making your public sex experience most enjoyable.

screwup is for trannies, queers, and our friends. This event is open to all genders and will be held in Room #11A at the New College of California. Folks sometimes go out for coffee or food afterwards, so come prepared...

$0-5 donation will be accepted to cover the cost of supplies and flyers. The New College of California is wheelchair accessible and has gender-neutral bathrooms!
