Separated by thousands of miles across the electrons of cyberspace I've had the privilege to meet the essence of Gita through a discussion group (wich is trying to create communication between Jews and Muslims). As I began to read post after post, something unique emerged, someone out there named Gita was speaking from a place of core integrity, it was not just the words but the incredible strength and power beneath the surface of the words that had me in awe. The more I read the more inspired I was, that someone was embodying the essence of peace, I was just about ready to quit the discussion group, feeling somewhat as a failure to adequately communicate both my compassionate longing and position. But it was Gita that shows me a more excellent way, a teacher through example, of practical compassion. I thought surely this was some aged grandmother who through the long years of accumulated wisdom had gained such profound insights into the human psyche. One day I went to her profile, and was amazed to find that the wisdom of an ancient was housed in a kind and tender body of a sacred sister, and although I do not know her age, she is an ageless teacher to all who would listen.

And now one of my cherished hopes is to someday walk with This ageless one, who I know has captured the heart of Muslim,and jew, to walk for peace, next to one who is peace walking amongst us.

When I grow up I want to be like her :)

Gita is a talented, intelligent, and inspiring person. Her hope for peace and mutual understanding in this world is contagious. I am blessed to have "met" her here on tribe and I thank God for the difference she makes in the world. She's Jewish, I'm Muslim, and yet we are kindred spirits! May friendship cross all boundries and may hearts seek empathy, peace, and compassion across the globe.

where most people talk, gita DOES. this woman amazes me with her motivation, strength, compassion and such ease i feel typing to her from around the globe. her missions for peace and her blogs put tears in my eyes cause they touch me so deeply. she is pure love, love, love.....how can words possibly describe?

Gita is a woman I admire and care for. Her view of the world and her place in it is inspirational. Just knowing that you are working for Peace Gita helps me to feel it is possible. Blessing to you always.

Amazing grace. Her love just oozes through her words and from her photographs. She takes responsiblity, as we all should, who know The Secret, to illuminate it for others and change them forever.... She is an enlightend spirit, altruistic, a peaceful warrior. Me loves her.

Sweet Gita is a warm and gentle spirit. She has seen and captured so much with her camera and yet somehow there is still a soft innocence in her that is irresistable. She lets one see the souls and spirits of those she photographs and brings home to their beauty and humanity.

Gita herself is a woman of great depth and there is great gentleness and longing in her words. I am certain that she does not know this, but she unquestionably has the power to steal the heart of any man she might turn those big, sparkling eyes upon. I am half a world away... I have never met her face to face... never even heard her voice on the phone... but I could wish deeply that the world was a much smaller place, and that she were not so far away...

Getting to know Gita has been a richly rewarding experience for me. She is a powerful peacemaker and she is cherished by all. Gita is a woman who I trust and love and someday hope to meet in person. I hold her dear in my heart.
