i cannot believe it. it seems so surreal and yet, here i am. packing again. wishing once more that i could just poof! everything to where it needs to be, or just get rid of it all....and truth be told everytime i get rid of more and more, but it seems that more and more accumulates as well. and then sits in my mothers attic...waiting for the time when i settle into a home base and can use it all.

last night i was rushing to my apartment because it was frigid. the kind of frigid where you take a breath in and the boogers freeze in your nose. and i was not wearing a jacket. so i stopped myself, took a deep breath in of the icy air and let the cold permeate me. and then i looked up. my faithful friend was waiting, lumniscent above. i stared into her, without blinking and she started to pulsate and move. suddenly she was three...my sisters, triple goddess...past, present, future,.....

today the sun came out for the first time in over a week. this is a big deal, seeing as how the time for shining is so limited here. and i had the afternoon off...so i met a friend in town and he took me to the biggest building in iceland...a monolithic, gray concrete church in the center of reykjavik of epic proportions. we climbed to the bell tower (well, actually you take the elevator most of the way) and arrived for a spledid panoramic view just as the sun started kissing the mountains...

...stand up!...funny thing is, they arent kidding. trees are what we would normally call shrubs...there are of course the exceptions. many of them standing in my small but well forested yard. i keep a look out lest any small children or adults get lost in our woods. then i would run out with a wooden barrel of brandy around my neck, just like those st. bernards in the swiss alps and i would be recieved like an angel...these icleanders sure love their drink. seems their favorite weekend p...
