What do Presidents John F. Kennedy, James Garfield
and Abraham Lincoln, and Congressman Louis McFadden
all have in common?
They all believed in the necessity of
dismantling what has evolved into what is
now known as the Federal Reserve Banking System

They were unique in that they all had the
understanding and power to act on their
beliefs, but never got the chance to because
they were assassinated before got the chance.
What's the big deal about the Fed?
For starters, it's not, contrary to
popular belief, a part of the government.
It's privately owned...which means the
United States does not control its

Strange but true.
The Fed was created around the same time

P.S. Former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney will be attending.

NEWS RELEASE; December 16, 2007
Contact: media-requests@runcynthiarun.org
Cynthia McKinney Announces Presidential Campaign;
Former six-term Congresswoman, an outspoken opponent of the war in Iraq, today officially launched her campaign as a Green Party candidate for President. In a video news release, McKinney says "the Republicans have deceived us; the Democrats have failed us. It is time for a new beginning: A time for hope to rise from the ashes of despair."
McKinney, a former Democrat from Georgia, was one of only three members of Congress to vote "yes" on a House Resolution in 2005 calling for the immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq. One of her last acts in office was introducing Articles of Impeachment naming George Bush, Dick Cheney and Condoleezza Rice.
According to McKinney: "It is time to break the vicious cycle where the poor go to war and veterans come home wounded and ignored."
McKinney supports universal, single-payer health care; fair trade; and has been an unrelenting advocate for Hurricane Katrina survivors. No stranger to controversy and unafraid of speaking truth to power, McKinney has demanded that the Bush Administration tell the American people what the Administration knew about the events leading up to 9/11 and when they knew it.
McKinney's announcement ends months of speculation about her plans. McKinney has been traveling constantly and meeting with Green Party members and other activists across the country who have been encouraging her to seek the Presidency.
More information about McKinney's campaign including a copy of her video statement, are available by linking to:
www.runcynthiarun.org/ Members of the media are urged to request a copy of the high resolution version of this VNR, suitable for broadcast and cablecast at:
media.runcynthiarun.org/vnr_request.cgi
Please visit the website at www.allthingscynthiamckinney.com for pictures of her
New Orleans visit & regular updates on her travels.
Here's what she had to say in New Orleans:
Hurricane Katrina International Tribunal Press Conference, New Orleans, August 2, 2007
"I am pleased to be among this tested and true group of activists who are committed to Katrina Justice. We come together to do what is right for our country and this community. We are told that the failures of the government to protect its citizens on September 11th was a 'failure of imagination.' In the case of Katrina survivors they tell us that it was a 'failure of initiative.' The operative word in both tragedies, however, is failure. And the families of the victims have been left, in the words of Fred Hampton, with 'answers that don't answer, explanations that don't explain, and conclusions that don't conclude.' Katrina survivors looking for a road home have found that road pockmarked by the potholes of racism, discrimination, and ineffective elected leadership. While President Bush failed to even mention Katrina in his 2007 State of the Union address, the Democratic majority in Congress failed to include Katrina survivors among their priorities for the first 100 days of Congressional action. The United States Government, including both political parties, has thus far been unwilling to accord both the dignity and justice that is deserved by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita survivors. This action is initiated by them and the people who care deeply about them as they struggle to secure their rights.
The Hurricanes Katrina and Rita International Tribunal seeks nothing more than the justice these survivors deserve. Thanks for your support!"
Dear Friends of Peace, Justice and a Sustainable American Way of Life,
Democracy Needs You Now! If you couldn't make it to San Francisco for the Green Party Presidential "Debate," you can now watch segments of it, indexed to links below, by the issues that are relevant to you. Now is the time to review the issues of our day, and get involved with the party whose actual goal is not campaign finance, but to make your childrens' sustainable, egalitarian planet a reality. So we need volunteers!
Agreeing on practically everything from immigration to peak oil and bringing our troops home, there isn't much debate between the Green candidates. They all see the obvious and aren't receiving a paycheck from the duopoly's peeps somewhere to be silent about what they see. These videos reflect campaigns of unity and solidarity, not competition and smear campaigns. But what else would one expect from a party whose preferred decision-making process is decentralized consensus, where every voice can be heard. In a party that stands for more than winner take all, a debate should be like this, a synthesis of ideas toward agreement :-)
Heroic Georgia Congresswoman, Cynthia McKinney, makes a strong plea for unity within the Green Party and progressive communities in the "Greens Unite Progressives" segment. McKinney's moral compass and integrity led the Democrat Party to purge her, leaving no choice for her clearly political future but with the Greens and independents. I hope you will honor
the stand she took in Congress, her strength, courage and attempts to build a grassroots movement, and stand with her now.
Please watch at least the first three videoclips to find hope for a sustainable future, then vote your conscience:

VOLUNTEERS: supporters.runcynthiarun.org/sup....cgi
Thanks to the public backlash to the past abuses of our system of privately financed elections, Congress in the wake of the Watergate scandal adopted a system of partial public financing. Under this system, public tax dollars are available to match the first $250 of each individual contribution that an eligible Presidential candidate receives during the primary campaign.
With your help, Cynthia McKinney can qualify as a candidate eligible for these Federal matching campaign funds. To do so, she must certify that she has met the "threshold requirement" for eligibility by raising at least $5,000 in each of at least 20 states. While any contribution up to $2,300 per donor is welcome in support of this campaign, only the first $250 of each individual contribution counts toward that total.
We must channel our efforts into the kind of movement that has been successful in the past in our country. A movement that unites us all, regardless of the labels usually used to divide us. We the people must run for office and vote the current, non-representative crew out of office. We must become the government that is supposed to represent us. It is time for all of us to become involved now.
There is room for everyone in this movement. I shudder to think what our country will become if we fail to act.

For all the coverage of Senator John McCain's background, there are some important things you won't learn about him from the TV networks. His carefully crafted positive image relies on people not knowing this stuff; you might be surprised by some of it.
Please check out the list below, and then forward it to your friends, family, and coworkers. We can't rely on the media to tell folks about the real John McCain—but if we all pass this along, we can reach as many people as CNN Headline News does on a good night.
How many people you can pass it on to?
10 things you should know about John McCain (but probably don't):
1. John McCain voted against establishing a national holiday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Now he says his position has "evolved," yet he's continued to oppose key civil rights laws.1
2. According to Bloomberg News, McCain is more hawkish than Bush on Iraq, Russia and China. Conservative columnist Pat Buchanan says McCain "will make Cheney look like Gandhi."2
3. His reputation is built on his opposition to torture, but McCain voted against a bill to ban water-boarding, and then applauded President Bush for vetoing that ban.3
4. McCain opposes a woman's right to choose. He said, "I do not support Roe versus Wade. It should be overturned."4
5. The Children's Defense Fund rated McCain as the worst senator in Congress for children. He voted against the children's health care bill last year, then defended Bush's veto of the bill.5
6. He's one of the richest people in a Senate filled with millionaires. The Associated Press reports he and his wife own at least eight homes! Yet McCain says the solution to the housing crisis is for people facing foreclosure to get a "second job" and skip their vacations.6
7. Many of McCain's fellow Republican senators say he's too reckless to be commander in chief. One Republican senator said: "The thought of his being president sends a cold chill down my spine. He's erratic. He's hotheaded. He loses his temper and he worries me."7
8. McCain talks a lot about taking on special interests, but his campaign manager and top advisers are actually lobbyists. The government watchdog group Public Citizen says McCain has 59 lobbyists raising money for his campaign, more than any of the other presidential candidates.8
9. McCain has sought closer ties to the extreme religious right in recent years. The pastor McCain calls his "spiritual guide," Rod Parsley, believes America's founding mission is to destroy Islam, which he calls a "false religion." McCain sought the political support of right-wing preacher John Hagee, who believes Hurricane Katrina was God's punishment for gay rights and called the Catholic Church "the Antichrist" and a "false cult."9
10. He positions himself as pro-environment, but he scored a 0—yes, zero—from the League of Conservation Voters last year.10
John McCain is not who the Washington press corps make him out to be. Please help get the word out—forward this email to your personal network.

Inspired by the courageous leadership of Shirley Golub in San Francisco, challenging the majority leader herself for the
Democratic congressional primary nomination there, we have been told that there are now primary challenges is most of the districts in the state of Oregon, running on an impeachment now platform.
And we could not have asked for a more valiant candidate than Joe Walsh, who has been leading his fellow constituents in their
own weekly rally in front of Earl Blumenauer's district office in OR-03, demanding action on impeachment, and on ending the indefensible and ruinous occupation of Iraq.
Joe needs your help before the vote on May 20th. This is critical in the state of Oregon to get our message out, as it is a completely vote by mail state. This should be so easy for us to do. Please make whatever contribution you can make now, small or large.
www.usalone.com/donations_walsh.php
Joe Walsh is a long time dedicated peace activist, who gave up a Navy career he already had, by filing as a conscientious objector in 1970 during the Vietnam War, and received an honorable discharge. He has put his own body on the line many times as a political activist also, for demonstrations in front of Oregon senator Smith's office last year, for another example.
But more than that, Joe is well known to his local community for his generous volunteer work, also donating many hours on a weekly basis working for Portland's "Fish", who distribute emergency food to people in serious trouble.
The primary in Oregon is coming up fast on May 20. So your contribution can have an immediate impact on Congress right now, by demonstrating that any incumbent who does not get it can, and will, face a serious primary challenge.
Won't you make a contribution to Joe now if you can, so that he can carry the banner of impeachment, and all the other issues we are fighting for, in the official Oregon voter pamphlet. We need his voice. Without him there would be no challenger in his district, and people like Blumenauer would just blithely think that they forever disregard the will of the people.
And even if you can't make a contribution, please spread the word about the growing "On The Table" impeachment movement, and take heart that in just the next couple weeks we can apply enough pressure through these primary challenges to make impeachment an actual reality.
Please take action NOW, so we can win all victories that are supposed to be ours, and forward this alert as widely as possible.

Major article called for impeachment in Washington Post by GEORGE McGOVERN
On the front page of the Outlook section in the Sunday Washington Post (Jan. 6, 2007) is a major article calling for Bush's impeachment written by George McGovern. As we enter the last year of Bush's term as President, the call for impeachment is only becoming stronger. The demand for accountability and the principled insistence that we must Save the Constitution has mobilized hundreds of thousands of people across the United States.
The fact that the Washington Post has so prominently presented a call for impeachment is a testament to the grassroots movement of the people that has become a force in American politics. Not content to just rotate presidents in and out, we understand that the promise and aspirations of constitutionally guaranteed freedoms, and the hope that the country can live in peace with the world, rest on the people uniting to demand action. Title: "A bill to establish the National Commission on the Prevention of Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism, and for other purposes."
This bill states that "The Internet has aided in facilitating violent radicalization, ideologically based violence, and the homegrown terrorism process in the United States by providing access to broad and constant streams of terrorist-related propaganda to United States citizens."
Diane Feinstein's San Francisco office says S.1959 is still in committee. If it passes there it goes to the senate floor. We should pressure committee members below to kill the bill on the spot. Flood them!
