about me
I think that I am a bit of a complex puzzle that's lost a few of her pieces. I am full of contadictions, for example: I renovate homes (ie: do construction stuff) and I've been told by one of my cousins that I swear like a sailor (which I find hard to believe). However, I like the gentleman I am with to open the door for me and then perhaps to ask me to waltz at the most random of times. I like the simplest of slapstick comedies but, I also love watching a production of one of Shakespeare's plays and understanding nearly everything being said therefore, busting out in laughter or a serious "ooooh" when 90% percent of the audience is still trying to figure out what was just said. What can I say, I am a city girl that loves the ocean and the forrested mountains.

It's time to blow this pop shop!

Back to the ocean I go!

Not exactly as far north as we had planned....but, with definite plans and goals to go north when the universe aligns itself a little bit better.

So..................Los Angeles, here I come!

I forgot to share a truly odd thing that happened at work the other day.

Imagine for a moment that an ice cream truck was coming down the street and stopped at your place of business and the driver left the truck to entice you to buy his wares.

NOW, replace the the ice cream with meat.

Now, imagine my surprise when the driver of said "meat truck" stopped and came into the shop enticing us to buy meat from off of her truck!

Just for the sheer wierdness of the situation and because ... read more

It was a dark and stormy night......

Oh wait, I've given it away.

It all started a bit later than we wanted it to. We left on Saturday morning arriving at the faire around 2pm. One of the big differences about this faire is that the patrons can camp, which made Greg and myself quite happy considering how long it took us to get there. However, the lack of organization threw us both for a spin. Neither one of us are used to chaos at a camping event. After driving and walking about ... read more

really.....some things are not that believable...at least I do not WANT them to be that believable.

We were getting ready to go to Texas Ren Faire this weekend and I wanted to fill my flask with something yummy and intoxicating.

Being from California, I feel that that should be a simple task to accomplish. However, it is a far cry from simple being a Californian in Texas.

After realizing that alcohol isn't sold in the grocery store, we asked a few people who worked there as to whe... read more

Thanks to my friend, Patty, I had a fun yet uneventful drive out to Texas. We had one little rain cloud hover over us for about 10 minutes and that’s it. We didn’t want to drive straight through so we spent the night in Albuquerque. We arrived in Denton on Wednesday night just in time for a delicious dinner of eggplant parmesan prepared by Greg in anticipation of our arrival. The next day, I sent Greg off to work, leaving Patty and me to explore Denton. We found a small but fantastic cand... read more
