</a>
										<div>Does anyone here know their actual blood type?

Years ago, many would probably have answered this question with a resounding "yes." However, it seems rare these days that many would even have interest in the subject - unless one needed a blood transfusion. I had wanted to know my blood type for years, but never got around to finding it out...until the beginning of this Summer.

After having gone through much nonsense and runarounds from my own physician, and others (which eventually did turn out to be beneficial, overall, I must admit), I decided to donate blood to my local American Red Cross. A month after donating, I got my Red Cross donor card (with a note telling me that they'd love for me to become a frequent donor), and the card lists my type. But, just to be thorough, I ordered a home blood typing kit last week, to test out my blood type for myself....and to see if it matched the one on the donor card. I was fairly skeptical about home-typing kits, so I wasn't really expecting much. But, sure enough, the results pretty much matched those on my card, and I found this out rather quickly, as soon as the drop of blood mixed with the drop of water in the circle. The only thing that came out a bit different was the "Anti-D"/Rhesus" factor; The Blood group (e.g. A, B, O, AB) is the exact same as the one on my donor card, but the rhesus factor - that's positive or negative to the rest of you - came out somewhat differently. I'm a positive/+ on my donor card, but on the home testing card, the result was negative. However, in the instruction packet, it did mention that there is a possibility of the actual rhesus results not coming in as definitively, and that actual lab tests (which the Red Cross rely on) would indicate a more thorough determinate.

In any event, this is all interesting...and apparently, there is this thing in Japan, where they connect a person's blood type with respective personality characteristics.</div>

										<div>Yes it is. It's Autumn time again. This has always been my favorite season, as I feel it correlates with my moods, feelings and temperament. Somehow, everytime during this year, I feel refreshed and rejuvenated, as the scents, colors, and images give me a sense of peace, tranquility and wholeness. It feels the most like home.</div>

<div>...Changes - as David Bowie once said. Indeed, these are what I've been dealing with quite a bit of over the past few months (though, honestly, for the most part, these changes have been good ones.)

I haven't posted very much on tribe during these past few months, although I have dropped by on more than one occasion to view what has been going on here.. on various tribes, etc, etc.

I surprised many when I quit my job a few months back (yes, the job which I posted about in my very last post before this one, describing just a few of the many *beef* incidents in my department.) The pay there was just horrible, especially for the kind of work we were being asked to do, and the workload was increasing.. not to mention the very fact that, added to this, things there were very unethical - I found myself getting into far more verbal (and nearly -- on a few occasions -- physical) confrontations than I liked to (managers, supervisors, etc, I've had it out with/cursed out many people there of any kind of ranking, because of the rotten way they treated the employees). But, there was a part of me that got some entertainment value out of all of this (me and many of my other ex co-workers would be sitting back laughing about it just as much as we would piss and moan), so sometimes, things cut both ways. I have a new job now, and the pay is much better than what I was getting from the older job, and there are far fewer hassles (what was lacking in funds at the old job, was, in many ways, made up for in entertainment value).

But, I do miss the good times I had at the old job, and I catch myself thinking about it quite often. I also miss the few people who I shared dozens of screaming, belly-laughs with (one or two I still keep in touch with), as well as deeper conversation.

I guess I am starting to meander a bit, and I guess there is no moral to all of this. But, I do want to say that memories sometimes can be a great thing, especially if the memories are filled with emotionally-enriching moments. Sure, I remember alot of the shit I had to deal with at that old job, but I catch myself thinking more about the great things I dealt with over there, more than I do about the bad things.

<div>...is the main ingredient at my job - particularly in my department. Everyone there, at some point, ends up getting into it with somebody. Today, two of my associates came dangerously close to throwing punches at each other (there was a quick shove, before two of the security guards came in, to break it up.) To be honest, this isn't the first time these two have gotten into it - they've gotten into it *plenty* of times - only this time is when it became at it's most volatile. But, amidst it all, I felt like I was the one playing the mediator; you know, the "middle man." Each one took turns coming to me, venting out their frustrations about the other person. It felt really flattering that they would come to me, but, at the same time, it felt like I was put in a tough position, I didn't really want to take sides, as I like both of these guys.

But, yes, indeed, Beef - that's the main ingredient. Just yesterday, another associate of mine cursed out another associate; they're not talking at all, now. And not too long before that, another separate batch of associates from my department (2 of course), got into it, and one ended up popping the other in his face. I wasn't there to witness the last two events mentioned, but, goodness, this is all almost somewhat storybook hilarious. The word got out not too long after about today's earlier incident...though, it is kinda hard for it *not* to get out, since both were screaming at the top of their lungs at each other, while other associates from different departments were staring, and one of my other associates ended up saying, "Man, one day, there's just going to be one gigantic Royal Rumble in your department." I was cracking up hysterically, after he said this.

Yes, BEEF - it's what's for breakfast, lunch, AND dinner (and hell, maybe even dessert) in my department at my job! </div>

<div>...is it just me, or is television turning into an ocean of shit? I probably should omit the "turning into" part of that last sentence, as it's been like this for some years now. I mean, *really* - nothing but glitzy, sleazy "reality" TV shows, that you've seen and heard before...over...and over...and over. It started out with one or two of these kinds of programs, but now they are EVERYWHERE. But, I guess a part of me really doesn't care, since I don't really watch TV much anymore. And the little bit of TV I do watch, mostly consists of re-runs of shows that are no longer on air. Most of my viewing pleasure comes in the form of videos and/or DVDs. Thank goodness for these little things.</div>
