Wakeman also played on David Bowie's "Hunky Dory" (great album, btw)
Re: Best Breakup songs?
(in Rising Scorpio)
Lots of great choices folks. But I haven't seen THE mother of all breakup songs listed yet: "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor. (It's also quite pertinent to the Scorpio theme of survival too, eh?) :-P

Re: 8H vs. 12H (Ding)
(in 12th House)
This was a very interesting and very enlightening read on the similarities and differences between the 8th and 12th houses - commonly thought to be the most mysterious, and most misunderstood houses in the wheel. I'll def be coming back to read it...

Re: Secret and poison
(in * Pluto Moon *)
This is almost funny...I've had the exact same fear for years...that I'd end up in some kind of mental asylum. That just sounds so nightmarish to me...and my Pluto-Moon conjunction is in the 12th house, so go figure.

Re: Jumping into the fire
(in * Pluto Moon *)
Slightly echoing Peter. I will say there is an epiphany that the thing I fear is exactly what I need...but *only* for certain things, and at certain times. Other times, I stick with my gut instinct and avoid certain situations that I fear, because...

Re: 2009 in music
(in ! "THE WIKIPEDIA TRIBE" !)
In some respects, it was an interesting end to a decade. In my mind, the most monumental happenings during this year was Michael Jackson's passing (heartbreaking), and the long overdue remasters and repackaging of The Beatles' material (exciting.)

The feeling of losing control of myself...that scares me more than just about anything else.

Re: What's Your Favourite Yes?
(in YES Music)
Oops - forgot to mention favorite cover art: I'd mostly single out Tales, but I also love Relayer's, and, specifically, Close To The Edge (because Green is my favorite color.) Worst cover art, by far, is Big Generator (vomit-inducing) :-P :-P

Re: Favorite Love Songs
(in Rising Scorpio)
a few more:
Ambrosia - "Runnin' Away," "Holdin' On To Yesterday" and "Livin' On My Own." Edwin McCain - "I Could Not Ask For More" Alicia Keys - "No one" (or whatever that song is that has "no one, can get in the way of how I feel for you.") discussion post on Thu, December 10, 2009 - 6:17 PM
Found this when arbitrarily skimming tribe. This article comes from a male poster on craiglist, or something. It's...interesting...to say the least.

Yes it is. It's Autumn time again. This has always been my favorite season, as I feel it correlates with my moods, feelings and temperament. Somehow, everytime during this year, I feel refreshed and rejuvenated, as the scents, colors, and images give me a sense of peace, tranquility and wholeness. It feels the most like home.

Pluto is the “modern” ruler of Scorpio, and many of its concepts and key words are synonymous with those used for Scorpio itself. Pluto represents the “peak, or pit experience,” a deep psychological experience that includes a kind of “dying,” after which we are never again the same. Pluto transits burn our bridges behind us; we can never go back to who and what we were before, and most would not want to. Those foolish enough to try end up really dying, or at best, like Lot’s wife, ossifying, ...

...Changes - as David Bowie once said. Indeed, these are what I've been dealing with quite a bit of over the past few months (though, honestly, for the most part, these changes have been good ones.)

I haven't posted very much on tribe during these past few months, although I have dropped by on more than one occasion to view what has been going on here.. on various tribes, etc, etc. I surprised many when I quit my job a few months back (yes, the job which I posted about in my very last p... read more
...is the main ingredient at my job - particularly in my department. Everyone there, at some point, ends up getting into it with somebody. Today, two of my associates came dangerously close to throwing punches at each other (there was a quick shove, before two of the security guards came in, to break it up.) To be honest, this isn't the first time these two have gotten into it - they've gotten into it *plenty* of times - only this time is when it became at it's most volatile. But, amidst it a...
