I had never been to a Ren. Faire before so my son and I went on the first Saturday. There was so much to see and hear, plenty of things to use up the day. The only complaint I had was it was so hot! And the promised rainstorms that were to come forgot to materialize, ha ha ha. I took some photos and still need to get the film developed. It got so warm and sunny though that even shooting film was difficult.

But it was so fun I went back the following Saturday, this time I got dressed up a bit in skirt, choli, coins, sari and it was much cooler than in jeans! Lesson learned. I watched all three gypsy shows, did a belly dance lesson which was cute, had a man and his son doing it.

I also got to see the sheep herding demo and talked with them at length as I love border collies and sheep. The dogs were beautiful even though some were sassy. They were fun to watch and so smart.

Then I hit the Moonie show and Who Killed the Kilt, both really good. I still haven't seen them all and hope to get back one more time. I really want to see the war horse training demonstration which I keep missing.
