My Testimonials

Rick Brown...what can I say about this man that would properly characterize him? He is handsome, talented, acutely intelligent, intuitive, compassionate, genuine and courageous. He is a loyal and loving friend, honest sometimes to a fault, and acts with honor and dignity even in the most trying of circumstances. I feel very lucky to be counted among his friends.

Plus, he has the most unapologetically filthy sense of humor, and an internal editor that's constantly on strike. I love this man!!!

My Blog

So, it's been four months since I posted, and it's been like pulling teeth to get back on it. I realized that was because I'm happy to write about things that make me sound wise or funny, but not so avid when I feel like I'm in the muck and not feeling shiny or impressive. Although I have some wonderful people and things in my life now, what's been on my mind is personal evolution. I have been poking a stick into some things in my past that have been holding me back, and trying to evolve. ... read more

You Know It!

I now have a hurdy gurdy! My neighbors are going to HATE me! WOO FUCKING HOO!

Next stop, bagpipes? MUAH HA HA HA!

The lovely girl in the photo is Jenny, from Omnia. And, yes, I know that no matter how good I get, she's still hotter.

I'm O.K. with that.

I was poking through my office yesterday, and I came upon this poem. I wrote it a few months back, a week after my split with Laura. Now that I'm doing MUCH better, rereading it I find I still like it. With time's buffer, I can post it without suicide watch knocking down my door(I hope).

Been a while since posting last. Lots going on, both outside and inside of me.

On the outside of me; Seadogs just did a fun little gig for the maritime society, and I'm playing at a party w/ Bruno in Tilden Park today. Looking forward to playing dead pirates on Halloween in the city, and then on to Dickens'!

Also, I just came off a run of performing @ Northern Faire, that was truly a gem. Playing with Seadogs and Newcastle, learning sooo much music, playing after hours with Mo Alile... read more

I'm playing with Seadogs @ the Northern Rennaisance Faire. Aside from the 3 hours of music a day I'm playing with them, I'm starting to sit in with Newcastle Country Dancers. I've been working on learning a bunch of English Country Dance tunes for that show. I'm well on my way, and at it regularly, learning the music. Lots to learn, and it's really pushing me to get my flatpicking up to speed. The band is great, and super-supportive of me playing on stage with them! Everyone has been r... read more

I'm an animal that should probably be living in the wilds, but I love food, music, and people too much for that. Songs that make me cry and those that make my ears ring get equal billing here
