Lately I have not been wanting to be on Vashon anymore. I just feel so done with it. I always end up on auto pilot driving around and I feel so hazy and lost in my head. Today the haze cleared a bit. I just got a new job, 2 actually, and was feeling good as I pulled into my driveway. Then the most beautiful sight hit me smack in my middle eye. The sun is starting to come out and the fog is gently blowing up from the water. Along the side of the driveway is bright green moss, huckleberry bushes line the neighbors and a few tall firs pop up. The mist was just reaching the road like long fingers and the sunlight was filtering down in shafts touching the glistening moss. It was all a wonderful reminder that even though this island may not be my favorite place to be right now I am really lucky to be here in a place with so much beauty . It is also a reminder that I need to always look at life in the most positive way possible and always be glad to be here, wherever I am.

I had such a beautiful experience a few days ago. After being in Eugene in a major storm with buckets of rain and hail Vashon weather is so peaceful. When Celeste and I got up one morning it was so misty outside. We went out and she wanted to be in the mist so she ran across the yard. Ofcourse she doesn't understand yet how fog works so when she was 100 feet away she stopped and looked around. I asked her if I was in the mist and with amazement she said yes and then pionted to the lower field where it was really thick. When we walked around we listened to the big maple near by because it sounded like a crazy rain storm was going on. I knew it was the condensation on the leaves building up and dripping to the next leaf down but to he WOW.... how cool for her, well both of us really. After being in rain it was so much nicer to just hear it. Other than that everything was so calm and green. I Love mornings like that.

I was so gonna go home and download my pictures and post about what a great time I had seeing the HBRNM group in Portland. Now is the first time I have sat at the computer with time to do so.
I have to say though NOW I'm a New Monsoon fan. New Years '05 was fun but I never really listened or danced. Saturday in Portland I did both. The music was so full and the venue nice and big. The Tractor Tavern is only good on a monday night or when I'm on stage so I was glad to have room to dance at the Wonder.
There were also so many good people at the show. Thanks to all that came up. It sounded like the Filmore was a great show. I wish I was there.
If anyone wants to send me some New Monsoon cd's I would love that! Me and downloading music don't go well togeather. I need to have good music in my car though because I almost live in it now that I'm going to school in Seattle and driving to Eugune and Portland; anywhere I can drive to in a day. I sometimes wonder what people must think of me when they see me gettin' down and singing loud at a red light. I can't help moving around. I have no idea if I dance well but I do know it makes me happy.

I just put up a lot of new pictures. Well most are not new but they are ones I like. I wish there was a way to organize them after I post them cause I never think of that when I add them. This I'm sure will be me favorite part of tribe. I always wanted a web site, mostly I just wanted to post pictures I like so that my friends can see them. If anyone wants a copy just ask I can email it to you.
