So far I’ve applied to 2 Art Fairs for this summer; the Custer Street Art Festival in Evanston on June 21st and 22nd, and the Skokie Art Guild Fair in Skokie on July 12th and 13th. Just got my acceptance letter from the Skokie Art Guild, so that’s one. I expect, since they’ve voted me into the Custer Fair for 2 years running, that I should get into that one as well.

I’m still waffling about doing a third art fair in August, but we’ll see—it’ll depend on how productive I am in the studio this spring (so far it’s been a pretty productive semester) and on how much sells in June and July. On the flipside, although the wedding business will be done we’re planning a honeymoon in December (when school’s over for us both) and I have hopes of paying for a lot of that trip out of my art fair proceeds.

If I do the Glenwood Arts Fest in Rogers Park again, the entrance fee is less than $100, so it shouldn’t be hard to recoup my expenses and make a profit.
